Wow! This quilt came out so nice. Yes indeed the pelicans are very cute and I really like the log cabin water blocks and sun too. Very nice addition.

Oh my goodness, cute, cute, cute! This is a happy quilt. I sure hope we get to see a picture when it has been assembled and quilted out.

Hi All,
I finished at the Beach last night. Of course all the rows make it big so it's hard to fit in one pic. My row is the second, the rows are not attached. I also took a close up of the pelicans, I thought they came out cute.

Enjoy!

Just a peek, thought to keep as a surprise for Anna, don't want her to rush home just so she can assemble her top already. She does have a couple more days of vacation.

I am back and the rows are here. I already received my completed row and I am THRILLED with all the rows added. Thank you ladies! Beth's row ties it all together with the home/love saying, colors, pineapple and traditional blocks to each side. Beth if you have a picture of your completed row please feel free to post.

Whigrose, your rows are here and I think you will be so happy with the ones already done. I will try and add a row that will do the rest of the work justice. I have some ideas but have not locked in yet.

My internet is having problems and some one is coming to look tomorrow. so if you do not hear from me that is what is going on.

You can tell the time of day I took the photo. The way the sun shines on it. My design wall is in the entry way and slides up next to the stairs. There is a large window at the top of the open stairway. These rows have been fun to work on and I have truly enjoyed doing them. Wonderful themes.

whigrose Please share which way you see them organized. I was thinking the row with home/love on top but I had no idea on how to do the others. Now I see how Beth put them I like the home/love on the bottom too.

Originally I was going to put sashing between the rows but I really like how they but up against each other. Any thoughts on that?

How about a scrappy inner border and a plain, green maybe, larger outer border?

I am so glad I did this swap. It is my first of this kind and I sure enjoyed it. Thank you all, also for keeping in touch and keeping the rows moving.

I hope everyone will be as happy with their rows as I am.

Anna,
My first thought seeing them on screen was to move Beth's row under the top one. The rows as they are pulled my eyes to the top row and bottom row and left everything in between very busy.

If the two rows with the white were put at the top in either order, it would leave the three remaining rows as a story board. I like your idea of butting rows together- maybe put sashing between rows one, two and the bottom group of three? (see pic for an example)

Personally, I like Beth's horizontal row between row one and the group. It lets the eye settle down for a bit. But, however you choose to join your rows, please do share with us. You know Beth and I will be 'knocking' on your door if too much times goes by.

I put the photo into Publisher and did some playing around. Here is an idea of how they would look.

Your rows are adorable! Enjoy.

best,
d
