Welcome to the Quilting Board!

I am in chat all day every day cause well.. I have no life.. so I find it funny that you are all going to descend on it and take over for an evening. It's going to be a shocker for a few regulars in there and I shall sit back and giggle. I await the day with glee.. I just have to make one thing for my person and then I'm going to be a pest and individually wrap everything, and probably put a ribbon and a jingle bell on each thing.. tee hee. And then I can ship it out. I'm glad that I'm pretty well on top of it cause mine has a little trek to get to it's new friend.
Hmm... a PI.. I wonder who that might be..

It isn't homework unless it's due tomorrow.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
Hi all I am one that didn't put much down. It's hard for me to put down what I want as I don't want someone to feel bad if they can't get it. I don't have any of the Tucker rulers. I will get some after Christmas if my man Santa doesn't come through. I really like batiks (who doesn't) the colors blue, green, purple, almost any color. I really don't care for yellow, orange. That said I have been given fabric in these colors and I learned to like them. I don't receive many gifts so any surprise is good for me. When is a good time to mail the packages? I have quite a bit of stuff, some old, some new, some bright, some dull, some hard, some soft. I think I am having more fun filling the box than anything.
I know that I still haven't been very helpful, but just know that whomever my SS is that I will appreciate what I get. You all are making this so much fun. BrendaK
Be kind to yourself, by being kind to others. When you help others you help yourself.
Ok I guess I'll take a turn, some people are so bossy!!! LOL Ok I need everything because I'll be spending a month a year in Florida til I retire and can spend 5 months there and I need stuff to be able to leave there. I need rotary cutters, blades, machine needles, 6 x 12 ruler, I love christmas fabric and don't have very much of that. All table runner patterns that are easy, easy purse patterns (I have the bow tux, and the city bag nothing complicated to make tho) scissors, anything with quilting stuff on it (mug, little quilty sayings for the wall) for Florida....omg I'm so easy to buy for, I wish I had my name lolol
Santa Claus is coming to town,
Santa Claus is coming to town,
Santa Claus is coming to town
(and he's wearing a brand new HAT!)
I just finished the Santa Hat for my giftee! Yeah! One goodie down, some shopping to do and another goodie to make. I'm going to be so busy.

This is so cool, to read all the comments after I've joined the swap. As a lurker by history, I can tell you, making the jump into a somewhat more active role has altered my attitude. I am so enjoying the play and may even eventually be able to join in the banter. I've been collecting goodies for my gal (oops! a hint!) and am almost giddy with excitement. Is there such a thing as overkill? I find myself stacking things from my sewing life that I don't use or have never used, in hopes of giving them a more appreciative life...in addition to the fqs and purchased gifts, of course. To those of you who have done this exchange before, I ask: have you ever felt like you were the recipient of someone else's house-cleaning efforts? Where is the line between treasure and junk? For the record, I've loosely defined it by whether I've been unable to part with something. I welcome feedback to help clear my muddled thinking here.
