JAGSD: It isn't too late to join in this challenge. I'm looking forward to seeing your finished projects!
Connie
P.S. My friend and I will be heading to Rapid City the first part of June. She's never been to South Dakota so it will be fun to see her reaction to Mount Rushmore, etc.

I have too many to count, but I am in.
The month of May, I want to out together the blocks of log cabins that I have made that are ready to be put into a design.

retiredteacher09: great finish! The colors you used are very soothing.
JAGSD: I'll be interested to see how many UFOs you have. I didn't think I had that many until I joined this group. I thought I'd have a heart attack when I counted them!! That said, this group has really helped me finish up a lot of UFOs.
Msnappy: welcome to the group!

My May finished UFO
This was a panel so I don't know why I put it off. Gave to my sister for her GGD.
Used fabric on back to make reversible. Cut butterflies from another fabric and appliqued on.

I'm ringing the bell and tooting the whistle to welcome all the new members aboard this UFO train!!! So happy to have you all aboard!
I'm making no UFO progress, but I'm not standing still. I've finished some comfort quilts, done a spur of the moment Dora quilt for my great, great grand niece, started a t-shirt quilt and got more ideas for projects than I know what to do with. (nothing new there, lol)
Also, got enough more fabric in CA and OH while I was travelling that I'm going to have to do some serious sewing to make room for it.
To my delight, my sisters presented me with a quilt 'kit' they had put together for me. Since I had made quilts for both of them, they felt it only right they should make one for me. They worked together to come up with blocks that have very special meaning to each one; things we've done together, songs I've written, family memories.... of course they made me cry. The kit contained the blocks all made, fabric for sashings and fleece for the backing. While I was still in CA, we got the blocks joined together and the sashings added. Now I just have to get the backing on and quilt and bind it.
Naturally since it's my own, it keeps sliding to the back of the Do It Now pile.
Once I finish it, I'll post photos. It's really amazing! I guess it falls into the UFO pile, as we were meant to finish it in CA. LOL
