Jeannie...Grey and black stripe would be great like the pictures of the buildings.....if you need to piece the back you could do some real interesting things also

    HouseDragon and Sewbizgirl,
Thank you for your compliments. I have found out that putting all the finished blocks together is not one of my favorite parts of quilting. I have it half together and will try to do the rest tomorrow. Timmy "helps" with my quilting and projects, he is 14 now, feels like a warm peach and no shedding all over my fabric. He has a heated pad in his bed to sleep on when not helping me.

    Krista love your alternative colors!

hopefully I will get something together and post a photo tomorrow!

Nothing sewn. If I keep these centers, I'll have to do some rearranging to better distribute the lighter reds.

Emma, your quilt is just beautiful... You do know the 4 corner triangles are bigger than the setting triangles?

Krista, I love your purple. There really isn't a lot of black in the quilt, overall... your purple contrasts so nicely with your other colors, which are all light. I think it's a winner just as it is.

Sweet! A warm peach! I love it.... What breed of cat is he?

Looking good, Joe'smom. Sometimes the best way to "see" the quilt (the values) is in a photo.

Krista, just love your colors!!!!! In fact I like all of the tops so far. Bonnie did an outstanding job on her mystery quilt.

I'm going to use purple & blue instead of the red and yellow. I figure I will start the mystery next week. Figure I will complete in a few months. Taking my sweet little time. I really like this pattern.

Thank-you everyone for sharing your progress.

Jeanne, I finished the ripping and am back to square assembly. I'm happy I took to time to take out the icky fabric and replace it with something else. I've never had a quilt where I was doing so many last minute changes. once I have it together I will still have to shop a black for the border too! I'm looking forward to getting to that point though!

I skipped Clue #4 and am working on Clue #5. Can someone confirm that I'm thinking this through correctly? The HST with neutral/gray and black are only used on the "squares"? So if I'm doing a smaller version I can just count the "squares" and multiply by 4? Thanks!

Baronreads, the unit with 3 gray HST and one black square is also used in the setting triangle units, so make enough for them as well as in the blocks.
