Sent some chicks and skunks out today, so there should be some more excitement at your house soon. Sent some silver buttons with the dancing chickens to add once it's quilted to use as either a disco ball or a moon.

The blocks I sent are nicer than this, but here's a couple examples of what they might look like with a button/bling.

Ok, just got this in today. Noticing the blocks that you folks have done, I really feel this fits. I am hoping I get more of the chicken food ones because then I will put this as the center of my quilt. What ya think? Please Mariposa!!!!!!!

I'll be happy to share.....if you have microsoft word, look up skunks in the clip art and you'll find the skunk I used. Insert him into your blank document, right click on the graphic, hit "size" and size her to fit on the size of background fabric -- about 2" smaller than the background including seem allowances. Print cut out the skunk and trace it onto your fabric. Then, cut out the white portion and trace it out on white fabric. Cut a square of background fabric. On white or yellow fabric, trace a circle about 1-1.5" smaller than than the width of the back ground fabric. Applique on the moon/sun, the black of the skunk, and then the white. I used rough edge applique, first without fusing, and then with, because it worked better. The 6.5" I made and pictured was easier than the 3.5"ers I made and sent in. I sent 30 of these stinkers to Mariposa, so maybe you'll get one to use as an example. If you want anything more specific, PM me, and I'll send you the exact measurements I used, or could email you the graphic I used. -- glad you like it.

Oh, and about that egg. I traced a children's toy egg. I drew the feet myself, so if you want that specific pattern you'll have to PM me too.
