Well, I finally finished my challenge quilt. Here is a photo of it. I like how it turned out. Ever have a chance to purchase some hand dyes, Ricky Timms are very nice to work with. The fun part was when you have to cut a piece reverse, you just flip it over because the fabric is reversable.
I have all my designs drawn out on bonding agent and ready to be ironed and cut for applique.

I found chicken wire fabric in 3 colors: white, red, and gold att Hancocks of Paducah. Seems like someone was asking where to get it. www.hancocks-paducah.com They also have novelty prints of opossums, skunks, and foxes, that all look pretty similar. I'm not huge on novelty prints, but they sure have some good ones for this swap or to fill in once your get your blocks. Some really fun chicken/farm fabric on sale....

Ok, I have finished my final set with my moms new machine as mine is out of commission. Overall I am pleased with them and have learned a little more about embroidery along the way.

Wow its cute too! We have some wonderful chickens to swap ladies I can't wait for mine to come in... Thinking about doing the cat swap too...Cats are not my favorite but have a couple sick children who love them. So I might do it and make lap blankets for them...
