Thank you, D. I do spend time looking for the right block for each. All part of the fun!

Kass, another great fireworks block!

I have only 3 blocks left to make... Already dreading being done.

I always love your blocks sewbiz girl. They are beautifully constructed with great fabric choices. I find myself deconstructing the block to see how you did it.

Sewbiz and Kass, thank you for the gorgeous blocks! I'm going to have to plan a big 4th of July party, just so I can show off my new quilt!

Sewbiz, your Star Wars block is awesome... that fabric has me stumped. And the block for Hav4boys is perfect! You can just about feel the butterflies flying around. I'm so glad you were able to find some more fabric to finish it!

I was all excited to spend the day sewing and my dh just "surprised" me with plans for an afternoon of snowshoeing. I've never done it before, we'll see how this works out! I have fabric and patterns pulled for my first couple blocks, so anxious to get started! I can't believe so many of you are almost done - you'll have to be my cheerleaders in April as I'm finishing!

What an incredibly nice thing to say! If you want to know where any of the patterns are, let me know.

It’s called “Checkmate”. I hope you like it!
I think I missed this block, Maude. It's so beautifully pieced! I love that scallop fabric too. It's perfect to go with TG's nautical fabric. Looks like fishing nets.

If my husband ever "surprised me w/ an afternoon of snowshoeing" I do no believe he would like my surprise for him!!!!!! lol lol lol But then again I would have to have been drugged and kidnapped to be in a place where snow shoes could be used.

Just a word of caution about snowshoeing: Hope you're using something more stable than the old school ones I wore when my brother tried to teach me. Do not step backward!!! I spent most of the afternoon flat on my back in the snow. Lucky for me he's a true gentleman, helping me up whenever he could get control of the laughter.
