Oh I missed the awesome dervish block and my block from Kassaundra.
I love the hippie inspired block. How do you do you think up these amazing blocks? Very apropos as I’m my mother’s hippie daughter.

sewbizgirl - thank you! I nabbed a remnant of the scale fabric and I knew it had to be for the nautical fabric. It made me think of mermaid scales. There is a subtle gold sparkle highlight on it.

Jaba and Sewbiz - you two are really putting those blocks out here. Each one so different and so unique. I love them all!! great work ladies. I do one block at a time and it seems to take a lot longer to match colors and pick a pattern.
Here is Hav4boys. And the story is this - I went through dozens of designs and ideas,, trying to get her mom's name Belva in there. A terrible time matching the colors. Then I pull out this brown fabric with reds in it. I look closer and it has the alphabet swirling around. Hmmm. So I fussy cut those letters and sew them together and it fits across.... Oh wait - she wants it on point ...add stars and hearts from material ....whew.
As usual - phone camera's colors are messy - but I am happy with it.
