I have my Grandmother's treadle and it uses the long bobbins... my question is How do you wind the thread on them???? Thanks.

Does anyone know about a Signature machine
Model #UHTS260E
Sr#17x48168 It is a new in liine sretch stitcher.
This belonged to my 96 yr old aunt. She hasn't used it
in years and lost the dirction book. I bought my first
singer in 1955. It was a 25th birthday gift to me from
me. This looks the same or very much alik.

Not a lot of design, but the side plate cover(terminology here?)has a ridge design

Have you tipped the machine back and looked underneath?
The missing slide plate might be under there. I have a much older Singer 99k and it sews wonderfully(1931).
