All of my quilts are made on vintage machines, namely my Singer 401A, and then either hand quilted or machine quilted on my Bernina Record 830 from the '70's.

Monica, I'd love to see your Necchi some day. I would love to see how you use the adjustable throat plate. I think it's so cool. Don't you just love how PP makes all your points perfect? It came out very nice!

Happyquiltmom, you did a beautiful job on your quilt and I love the way you incorporated your label on the back. I also love doing free motion quilting on my Bernina Record 830 from the 70s. I am its original owner. Somehow I can get the most natural rhythm with it. :)

Thanks SES. My next project is verrrry different. I'm done with winter and am moving on to spring! This is the pattern from a new line at Connecting Threads:
http://www.connectingthreads.com/cfT...20Burt&isKit=1 The cherry blossoms reminded me of springtime in DC, so I got the kit and will be making it with a few modifications. Nancy, thank you for your kind words. I'm just happy that DH likes it! |

Nancy, Thanks! I do find the PP to be fun, just that I think that I'm still wasting lots of fabric in the process of making the PP, since I sometimes miss judge the amount of fabric needed. I love carrying the theme from front to back to make the quilt look good on both sides.

Jane, I love that quilt. Very pretty.
