Actually my Davis came with a little original Singer envelope with 3 long needles. Maybe someone will want them.[/quote]
I am looking for some long needles for my Minnesota D, are the needles around 2" long?

If anyone is interested in buying the blackside Singer 128-23 I have pictures of on page 1364, please PM me.
California folks preferred. This thing is heavy!(25-30lbs), so shipping would be costly. Plus, the case is in excellent shape & I would not want to risk it getting damaged. We can talk about meeting part way between me & you.
jljack,
I was pretty sure that the case the 301 is in isn't the right one, but I wanted to protect it. I think it should work fine for the loose 15-91, but I figured that one is bullet proof and would be fine case less for the trip home. The bottom of the 301 is nicely finished and sealed, altho I haven't really had a chance to inspect it fully.
I would love to hear from some one who has managed to do something about the "fungus" appearance of the 301, tho.
How beautiful. I love it when I am able to get the history on the owners. Love it that you also have an original receipt.Originally Posted by nickylsf

They are a hair under 2." PM me if you would like to have them! I am pretty new at this but I don't think I would need these on most of the vintage machines I might pick up (as I do see more in my not so distant future).
Nancy, Sorry again to hear about Tarzan but thanks for the warning to the rest of us who have furbabies, especially small ones. I will tell you I had no idea that Pedialyte was good for small dogs 0 I learned something today. May you find comfort in your memories of Tarzan. ~ ChrisOriginally Posted by BoJangles
Ok, I am happy. After work I finally got a call from a lady selling treadle machine in a parlor cabinet. I made my son take me and his pickup truck to get it. The top is missing a few pieces of veneer and there is a small decorative piece of wood missing in front. Fortunately I am friends with a wood worker who can duplicate the missing piece. The machine is a Damascus Grand. Know nothing about it but, I love it! The machine was purchased new by the seller's husband's great grandmother and has been in the family ever since. The man said he used to sew with it when he was a kid. No one in the family wanted it any more, so it came home with me. Will post pics when I can.
