Trish, I love the quilt you just posted! It looks like it belongs in a girls room - hearts and all that pink! What machine did you use to piece that top? I can't wait to see it quilted!

One day, you'll only be a memory for some people. Do your best to be a good one.

I really like the cabinet on this machine, the Eldrege is a very good looking machine, but the cabinet is wonderful

The Germans certainly could have copied the look of the 15 since Singer's Model 15 started about 1895! The Germans sure didn't copy any Japanese Clones, as the Japanese never made a clone until the 1940's and later!
Yes, according to Pfaff serial number records that machine is from 1912, exactly 100 years old! Way before any Japanese clones were made! I do wonder as you do Monica, if the Pfaff brothers didn't copy a Singer 15! Miz Johnny says even her Pfaff looks like a class 15! I can't wait to get that machine home and see the front! There are a lot of different machines with the tension on the face, but they aren't shaped so much like a 15 - like this Pfaff is shaped!

Glenn, I wish I could give you the cabinet!
I'm in love with the irons, they are gorgeous!! One part of me says to find the next steward and another part of me says keep it. My husband says keep it, but I know that I will never use this machine. I feel like the poor machine has lost its soul, and the cabinet has followed to an extent. It's the irons that keep screaming at me to keep.
Monica, I was wondering what Eldredge you were talking about cleaning up! I love it! It reminds me of my Eldredge Two Spools, also made by National! Oh and what is not to love about that cabinet? I love the fact that the cabinet says "Eldredge" - it is also shaped so nice!

Nancy, I absolutely love my 301, Rebekah. She is my go-to machine for everything but repairing the monster dog bed - didn't want to chance hurting her with the monster - and she's my traveling machine when I travel for my job. I love the reliability of her and her weight is a definite bonus compared the heavier machines which I also love. This next statement might be heresy but I love my 301 and only like my FW and if I had to choose, I would choose the 301. Go ahead, load both barrels and shoot me now.![]()

Welcome aboard Shari! I see you already have a nice collection! I have all your machines, except the 237 and 257, plus about 30 more! Just a warning, that is what happens when you join this board - machines start following you home, or you find them on your doorstep looking forlorn!

I saw this ad on Craigslist. The ad just says Antique Viking, no picture or anything else. I asked for a photo and this is what I got! Isn't it cute! I want that one too - but, DH will KILL me!![]()
