Do you understand the speed these run ? most do not. These run at one speed only, which is full speed.
hit the pedal and it will GO.. the only way to get a full range of speeds is to buy and install a servo motor ..then they work like a home machine,, servo's sell from 150 to 250..
go get it, you could reslle it for 3 x's that much

I just today moved my two 31's into my barn! I am confiscating one stall to set up my 31's for repairing saddle blankets, horse blankets, some tack etc. I have tried using the 31 a couple times, but the thing scared me to death! It takes off racing! I will 'have' to practice and practice with those mean machines or I will end up sewing a finger or something! I love them, though! Oh yeah, both my 31's were given to me along with a bunch of attachments for them and the cabinet - which is electric but looks like a treadle!
I worked on my Hales Crescent's cabinet today - I had already stained and repaired the cabinet - now it is just finishing it! I also worked on my Hitachi cabinet - sanded and stained it! I won't really use the 31's until I can sand and stain their cabinet too!
Oh and I sewed this morning with my Pfaff 260 - which still baffles me! Why don't you try explaining why my machine works fine with one side plugged in and the old knee control, but won't run that way with a more modern foot control?

Has anyone heard from Texas Jan? She has been going through so much, and it worries me that she hasn't surfaced for a few days?

Nancy, I wanted a LBOW, too, as Annie is a mocha, but when I went without Annie for almost two weeks because the SM guy had as much trouble as I did getting the plug back together, I gave up and bought the first one that I could win in my price range. They can share the attachments and Annie is slated for a paint job, though if I have back surgery, I doubt that I'll be lifting machines, even a light one. The White Rotary weighs in at 39 pounds. There is no needle in it so I can't compare. I'll have to find the needle/machine site. I can put in 15X1 and see what happens. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow. A family member has been diagnosed with kidney cancer and I'm the only caretaker, so I have been sitting in ICU and have to travel next week. [ATTACH=CONFIG]345566[/ATTACH]

I did take the motor off but there wasn't time to undo the electrical cords. I've never seen such elegant, careful work in coiling the wires around the terminals. Watching the grandkids so will have to deal with this another time. I'll be back home soon and there is no sew and vac place near. It may just be the brushes. Anyway, my 201 and 15 are waiting at home. Gosh, I do miss them. Then there is the Necchi, the newer New Home, the Redeye, the 66 handcrank. Still, I had become fond of working with Myrtle. Maybe its time I learned to rebuild motors. Thanks for the suggestions.

While going to yard sales today I found this Singer buttonholer. Looks like it has never been used and all the parts are there plus a pkg. of 4 other discs of different sizes and the instruction book to tell you all about it. I guess what I'm curious about and have not seen it mentioned on here is the message on the end flap of the box that reads

Well Candace, I see the Pfaff 260 you mentioned on our local Craigslist for $400! I sent them an e-mail a couple days ago asking if they had actually seen a Pfaff 260 SELL for $400? I told the people who are trying to sell this machine that you can ask anything, but maybe they should look and see what the machines are actually selling for! On a side note, I spent a couple of hours zig-zagging batting scraps together with a little half plastic late 70s-early 80s White. Not too bad, but I'd hate to have to use it all the time. Love my little tanks that don't wiggle and jiggle all around.
