Uh... looks a bit better in person. 2 pp birdhouses but the second one is 6" unfinished so I had to add another strip. Now it looks choppy. I feel like I should add a flower or something b/w the birdhouses. What do you think. I am seeking some constructive advice.

It doesn't look choppy at all, just looks PP. A flower would look cute, but I don't think it needs it. If you do put in a flower, use an S stem that crosses the middle seam. But seriously I don't think you need it. JMO

I wasn't overly fond of the one posted, or any of the patterns I could find, so I drafted one myself.. it's mighty huge. It's a 20x20. I think I can fit a few birdie families in it. I chose a green floral pattern to try to represent a meadow or something. Maybe should have put a little strip of blue above it and below the "porch". Meh. Not bad for a first try.

hopetoquilt.......your birdhouses couldn't be any cuter!! I just love them. I am also a pp'd fan, so they look great to me. If you wanted to add a flower you could, but it wouldn't be necessary. I think I will copy your idea of the button's on my birdhouse, if that is okay with you. It needs something, but I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it!! Thank you for sharing with all of us.

Anastasia...........OMGoodness, for a first try you have made a marvelous birdhouse!! I love your pattern, it is really nice. It surely will house a lot of little bird families, that's for sure. The fabric you selected for the meadow is so pretty & I wouldn't change a thing about it. Congratulation's & thank you for sharing with all of us!!

hopetoquilt-- I love your buttons that is such a cute idea.

Anastasia - so cute makes me think of a southern plantation home.
