You're not being dense -- I just didn't explain well enough.Originally Posted by phyllvog

1) Go to very bottom of page and click on Topics List
2) Click on Affairs of the Heart, which is on top. This opens up all the threads started for the pictures, i.e., "Affairs of the Heart - Block #27 Photo Page". I believe all of the threads that have pictures have "Photo Page" listed in the title.
If you have anymore questions, just let us know.

At the bottom of this page click on Quilting Forum and when that page comes up, click on Affairs of the Heart Cyber Sew at the bottom under User Defined Topics List. It will bring up all the pages to do with AOTH. Then just find which block you wish to view.Originally Posted by phyllvog

Has batting been discussed here? I'm using a black background and would like to use black batting to prevent bearding. What is everyone else going to use?
On fabric.com, they have Hobbs Heirloom for $25 in queen size. Is this a good batting and a good price? I have only used Warm and Natural in the past. https://www.fabric.com/notions-patterns-quilter-39-s-notions-cotton-batting.aspx?cm_re=SL4-_-Notions-_-Cotton%20Batting]https://www.fabric.com/notions-patte...tton%20Batting[/url] Thanks!

Guess what I got to do this morning
My sweet, sweet DH brought lilacs in last night from our enormous bushes on the side of our home. He put them in a vase and set them on my side sewing table in the living room. Wonderful sweet smells filled the air all evening.
HOWEVER, this morning we woke up to find the vase had tipped over and it appeared that the water had all disappeared! NOT! The table is one of those that dips in the center, concave sorta. Under a few stacked bins hold sewing notions was my AOTH book.
Yup, laying in a pool of water. All 70+ pages. Yikes. Well, I had not had a chance yet to take it Kinko's to have one of those spines put on so you can lay the book flat. I could not believe how much water each page could hold and not disintegrate.
Instead, I took the pages apart, very carefully, one by one and they are laying out all over my living room, drying. I have to turn them over often, so they won't stick to the leather furniture. They are drying quite nicely. Next, I will put them in plastic sleeves and set them all in a binder.
Next time we will put a few rocks in the bottom of the vase. Oh, the aroma of those lilacs is so intoxicating. I love them dearly. And my sweet DH also! :-D

That was a lucky accident and it sort of helped the job along to get that spine put one
Glad you are managing to get them all dried out .
