Monica, thank you for your kind words. I will also be praying for your DD and for Mousie's. My mother always said that when children are little they have little problems but when they become big they have big problems. It seems so true.

So sorry to hear about the DDs and the DS. I pray that all will be well in their lives very, very soon.

Losie that's a great idea to get so many blocks traced! I usually do two at a time, but I'm thinking that I would like to do the next eight that I have yet to do to finish my center. It seems that when I finish one block, I'm so anxious to begin the next one, and it's upsetting and oh, so inconvenient to have to stop and prep the next block. :D :D I have all my fabrics pulled out that I thought would work for the quilt, but I need to cut some more of my background blocks. I noticed the other day that I have only two left of the ones I precut.

I never realized until last night that I am caught up so I am now with the schedule that was provided. Not that it matters!!  It's just nice to know that I am "on track."

Patty, I cut out all of my blocks of background fabric; I wanted to make sure I had enough fabric. I am going to have to do some sashing on my first 3 blocks. I cut them 10 1/2" and I did not allow for shrinkage during the embroidery. I am now cutting my squares 11 1/2" and that works fine. I'm with you on wanting to start right in on the next block when I finish a block. Congraulations on your hard work to catch up with everyone. Your blocks are beautiful. :D :D

I'm telling you what Elle, I even thought about getting out the meat mallet and smashing those little buggers until they were flat!!!   I decided not to do that because I was afraid I would end up smashing my fingers instead, and then how would I be able to work on the rest of my blocks!!!???   So I squeezed them REALLY hard until I could get them as flat as I could then I caught them by surprise and held them down with a couple of stitches!!!! Those babies weren't goin' anywhere!!!!! And if they popped up their ugly little heads, I would have poked them with my trusty needle!!!!! :D :D

You have been very busy. All of your quilts are beautiful. Do you hand or machine quilt?
