Awww my favorite - Bonnie Hunter! Finally finished this years mystery to the flimsy stage, now looking forward to November and the start of her new one. I'm 3/4 done quilting Celtic Solstice, been working on it for a time each day.
My FWS 30's quilt is on my display wall. I am not setting it on point. I am sewing the top sashings on and I'm about 90% done with that, then will sew the cornerstones and side sashing together and get them sewn on.

Weather turn around here...sunny, windy and cool as in upper 60's...last night did a wally run..just bought essentials as I needed computer ink to finish a guild project...guild resumes tomorrow night. Not sure if I spent too much time on cement, but my knee and hip ached all night...Will need to zap it today for sure and take a soaking as well.
Jeanie sounds like you are making progress...any more trips planned?
SBG..your quilt will be great...I still have FIL shirts to make more quilts for the family and have several plans in EQ...

OK - we go out each month with our camping group. We don't usually have a Rally in Jan & Feb - because the weather is iffy. We leave tomorrow for Malibu, next month for Long Beach, and Nov for Pahrump. Yes, I am moving right along on my 30's quilt. Got all the sashing an cornerstones cut, and half of them on the blocks. I really don't want to put this in a box in the non-flimsy stage.

I goofed; everything I had written disappeared. Wow.
SBG, I like your idea of using shirts in your quilt. Looks neat and creative.
Yes, mmac7, I got your little packet and lovely note. I tried to email you back, sorry if it did not go through. Yes, If you want to send more, I will opt to keep or share with others here. Do you need any quilt scraps?
I do have all but one box packed, ready to mail as soon as we get to town. Most of the guest room has been cleared and my green sitting chair in my room is clear. Did clear off half of my table in the QR, and finished pinning up Savannah blocks on the vertical wall. Now for the slashing with corner stones on each diagonal space between the blocks.
Dh was not feeling well today; his Chiropractor did not get everything adjusted right Friday, so he is in pain. He will go back on Monday, and hopefully feel better after that. Hope we can get to town by Wednesday to ship the boxes out. Scrappy in most cases are fabric pieces from five to 18 inches to several yards. Tried to get some light , medium, and dark in each one. My space is looking so much better now, and I hope everyone enjoys their box. I even got the quilt magazines sorted out, a hundred percent gone. DD is very happy with that news.
The old Dell computer is gone now; BIL came down, wiped the hard dish clean and took it with him. So I am slowly learning on the new computer and windows 10. For what I do on it, it seems to be going OK. Honchey, if your package is in the mail box, I will email you later. Dh has not brought Saturday mail in yet, and I have not felt like walking that far today. Mail and packages arrive rather slow here; since our state animal is a donkey (jacka**) Show me State. We have a nice mailman who brings packages to the door..he cannot bring what the PO does not give to him to deliver. With our County Fair on last week, most all businesses closed and everyone went to the fair, county-wide.

Love hearing about everyone's projects... Sorry about the bad backs, knees, etc. My back is 'out' right now too. I picked up a very heavy speaker at the gym Friday (same one I pick up and carry for every class I teach out in the pool) and my back did a huge spasm. You know what that means... messed up back for days. I've been eating Ibuprophens like they were M&Ms... Digging through the bins of clothes at the Goodwill outlet didn't help it any, I can tell you that.
I'm sewing my little strips together for the shirt quilt and am currently making the 100 little 3.5" square rail fence blocks. Then I have to do 100 9-patch blocks. That's for the first 25 blocks. Then I have to start over for the other 25 blocks, which are different. Those will have hourglasses! They are all built from such small units. Can't be in a hurry on this one.
I have a board on Pinterest for shirt quilt ideas, if anyone is interested:

I have had such a relaxing time here in Midland. Would ya believe that it rained all day Sat? We went to DGSon's B-day party. We had a great time. We then watched some movies.
I got to wanting to sew so much taday that DH bought me a cutting mat, rotary cutter, & a couple of other essentials. We then went to the store room & I picked out a sewing machine. I have done some sewing. Well, after I got the dirty machine back up & humming. I am not sure what was wrong. I worked on cleaning out the bobbin area to no avail. Then I really opened the thing up. I saw nothing wrong so I put it back together & it started running like a top! I guess it needed to air out.
I am having some asthma so am still up.. We are supposed to head back to Brady tomarrow. I am sure gonna be tired.
