I made progress today on BLH 'Frolic' now on clue 6 for box two. and will catch the other bwo boxes later. Want to see how the block will look,hope half well as Jeanie's blocks. It is still fun to do, and BH essential tool is very neat to use. Wow, what a nice mind she has to design it. I marvel at all her energy, positive attitude at 58 years old and going on strong.

Dublb, your rooms look so nice, just lovely and welcoming. I am lurking on the site, and reading what you all write. Love it all.

Givio - Thank you! I have seen some really awful blocks on Facebook! They just did not follow Bonnie's advice on contrast. Also I do not like real busy prints - just too much for me, so mine are rather plain, but I like the result!

I have decided to do Frolic 2 weeks per clue. I'm also gonna break up the reveal into several clues. I don't like the border. I'm gonna start it on Feb 1st.

Kudo's to the BH followers! I would have a very hard time keeping up! Like QNS, I've been lurking...It's that time of year for me..EOY bookwork..Hi ho hi ho...off to the office I go. Has been bitter cold over the weekend. Will make chicken noodle soup for lunch and a warm custard to satisfy the sweet tooth. MrOK likes it and it's relatively low in carbs. Have a good one

It is very doable Bev! The first three clues are really easy. Even the flying geese are not bad if you have made them before. I also do not like the border, but since I have the HST already done, I am thinking of making them into pinwheels. I will also add another border. You could skip clue 2 and 3 if you change the border!

Ooops, I hit a wrong key and poof it was gone.

I am making or r making the flying geese in clue 6 my way. BH clue on how to was not mine, and it did not work out at all for me. She says one thing and shows it another. Like does not have to match at the top, but you need 1/4 inch there to be made right.. My bloc-loc will square it to be perfect. I will some that is already cut out if I can and re-make the rest my way so it will work out. I think contrast is the key in making the fabric work together.

More snow on the way tomorrow, we will need to get chicken feed before it gets too bad. Side roads are 100% snow packed now. Dh got stuck in the driveway today, but managed to get the car back in the garage with one ding on the fender. PT is going great, if I don't make it to the last one on Thursday, its no big deal. I too them all treats today, Cinnamon Rolls and Chocolate Cake.

I picked up a Singer Quantum to repair yesterday. I also know that I will be picking at least 2 machines on the 5th as those ladies are taking a class at the LQS at the first of the month so they will bring their machines that day.

Bev - you are really making your Repair Service a reality!!! Good for you!

QNS - I am sure the PT people loved the treats you took them. So glad the PT worked for you. I know when my hands were bad, the Hand Physical Therapist really helped. My right hand, that I could hardly grip with, was restored and been working great for almost two years! I think my PT, before and after my partial knee replacement, really moved me forward! My knee is working just great. I can climb stairs sequentially, not up one step at a time, and am walking my mile a day with no problems. My knee feels normal - not like it has the prosthesis in it! Just amazing!!!

I have had a great day. It didn't take me very long to get into the Singer Quantum that I picked up yesterday. It is broke down, oiled & greased. There was some old dried grease in this one. It loosened right up w/a lil'le bit of sewing machine oil. I then re-greased everything. There is a gear set that gives me some trouble sometimes & I will deal w/it tomarrow. I didn't want to get frustrated today. I worked out there for about 3 hours this morning. After lunch DD, the kids & I went over to DM's house to prep the den for painting. We will paint 2 walls tomarrow & the other 2 walls on Friday. She doesn't want the ceiling nor the trim painted. She wants to just go w/the white that is already there. Now the Mantle is gonna have to be painted white as it is smoke stained from being over the wood burning stove. What DM doesn't know is that while she is outta town next week we are gonna paint the bathrooms also.

OK I think I'm nuts. But I do have a plan. Well for most of it. I did join a BOM from the LQS in Brownwood. I'll pick up mine when I go to the guild meeting. She has all the fabrics precut for it. I do wish I could go & sew it w/'em on the days that she has set up to do it. But I don't think I'll have the time. It is the Sat after the Guild meeting. I am also gonna do the guild BOM as the lady that sat next to me & I are gonna do ours different. She is a new quilter so she needs my help to plan that out. OH & also the guild is gonna do a class on paperless PP. There is a quilt for that too. I have never mastered that method so I want to do that also. I'm hoping that I can keep up w/both BOM's. So before the next guild meeting I need to pick out fabrics for both guild projects. I bet the PP project becomes a UFO. I truly hope not as it is a really neat pattern. Last night I pulled out the LQS BOM & drew the lines on the back of the blocks that are be used for the FG & Snowballs.

The BOM from the LQS is 'OH Susanna's Stars' by Julia H Hale. It is put out by Bits 'n Pieces pattern company.
The guild BOM is 'Annie's House' by Wendy Sheppard. Supposedly they found it on the Windham Fabrics website. However all I found is this version;
http://www.windhamfabrics.net/cgi-bi...patternID=1459 It is shown in different fabrics than the one the guild printed out & has a pieced border that our pattern doesn't have. I plan on using my own fabrics & I don't like the house part. I'm just gonna do the actual blocks.
The PP is Starburst by Belenda Soderberg. She will be teaching this to us. It is found on this page;
busybzdesigns.wixsite.com/busybzdesigns/classes-shops Scroll down to see it. At least it is a 30" X 30" project & not a whole quilt.

Anyway I'm thinking that if I am just doing 2 BOMs that are only 1 block a month I can take a break from what I am doing & not get off track on my other projects.
