JanieW ... they are pretty flowers and I'll have to watch for them in the garden centres. Do they multiply much? I love getting things that give me lots of early colour to enjoy. Yes, the machine is home ....... and no name. Have never gone that route! So what do you call your machine?
DublB ... those flowers look like Texas Sunshine coming our way! Looks like you had "one of those days". Tomorrow will be better. Thanks for trying the embroidery on the block ... I guess, you know whether it;s OK or not. I have no clue! Email me if you want to talk further about it. I know nothing about embroidery. Sorry.
CarrieM ... Yes, I am sure your dishwashers like the mechanical one! From what you have shared, they are good kids, and do their part with helping with chores, other than dishwashing!! The D4Ps I am using, the starting blocks are 5-1/2" x 7-1/2". Once sewn together, then I am cutting 1-1/2" either side of the seam. Then do my shuffle. Nice touch with your fancy stitch quilting!!! For sure you will want to get your SITD and/or open toe AccuFeed feet!
Speaking of new machines ........... GGal ... we are all waiting with baited breath to know if you are the proud owner of an 8200 or 8900?
CarrieM and DublB ... too funny ... I had typed in "one of those days" ... and then continued reading to see CarrieM used the same phrase. Goes to prove that GMTA!!!
JeanieG ... will be fun to see the scrappy PC backing assembled!
MiraB ... oh what a sad day! Some people are outright stoooopid and say stoooopid things with no thought. And to think all that work you did in quilting it .............. is for their benefit, and NOT your quilt. That would annoy me even more, than if it had been my own quilt. Not that I would have been pleased. I'm not sure I would even bother setting up a demo for them when they are so small BTW ... Cheers to Canuck Shannon for supporting you. This makes my blood boil ... so can only imagine yours! Have a coffee ... maybe something stiffer? {{{{HUGS to you!!}}}}}
Good Night Ladies!!!

So sorry Mirabelle for those unkind remarks. What nerve some people have, and after all the work you did to make and quilt that beautiful quilt!
Glad you got your new machine QuiltE! Have you sewn anything on it yet???? We get so use to our old machines, anything new really is hard to get used to. I think as we get older it is even harder to change gears and remember something new. You will probably be fumbling around for a while!!!

Wow lots of chatter to catch up on
Great news QNS what a relief
JeanieG sending prayers your way that it is good news and I hope you get your house cleaned up and back to normal quickly
Carriem I love your BB quilt love the setting, love the stitching oh did I say I loved it
Went to patchwork this morning and had a few arguments, so not so happy with a few people, really love being told I'm a liar. Two members, (who do not quilt) and I really don't have a lot to do with, literally told me to my face that I did not quilt the Daisy Raffle quilt. My friend Shannon kept saying yes she quilted it and they kept saying that nobody quilts like that on a domestic sewing machine and Shannon would say well "Karen does". SO next week I am going to set up at a table with my sewing machine a practise square and make them eat their words.. Some people really make my blood boil.
Will post photos of PC and the Daisy quilt that were both hanging in the hall today but first I need to have a cup of coffee.

They are off enough ta affect the seam allowance.
I haven't figured out how ta use the alphabet on the embroidery machine yet so I just wrote it.

What a sweet picture, Anael; she is growing!! So nice to see a picture of the sew grands!
Mirabelle, do not pay attention to the peanut section; there seems to be one or two in every crowd, just quietly show them wrong and be as sweet as sugar to them....that really kills them. Too bad their Mothers did not teach them better manners. Guess you are soo talented, they just cannot believe it.!! Shannon sounds like a very good friend, a priceless one, ready to set the world back to right. Anger is so negative; turn it into a positive like lemonade from lemons.
Lovely pictures of 'Spring' showing up here; From Texas to Canada. Beautiful. Give the bluebonnets another month, Dublb, and they will bloom. Truly a great story with the flowers, Janie. Need to quilt them into a quilt for the family.
