Yay (almost) party time for Bev, we will have to have a housewarming party in the RV...
Anael that is going to be a striking wallhanging, please take a photo of the two together when you get the blue one made. It will be interesting to see the different color schemes

Hello
It has bee a few days since I've been on the computer...always fun to catch up with everyone!
Ggal--when DD is done with driver's ed, she will be able to get a school permit. Right now her restrictions are that she has to drive with a family member over 26 (I think that is the age). She turns 16 in Feb. and at that time can get a license to drive on her own.
QE--your PC quilt turned out great!
Bev--great news about the rain AND offer acceptance. Will you put your house on the market right away or wait until you are moved and then do it?
QNS--so sorry you are feeling so worn out. Praying for good rest and quick recovery.
Jeanie--YAY for a new (to you) sewing machine. Bummer about no progress on the kitchen.
Karen--those are some great quilts for the week. I can't decide on a favorite.
Anael--another pretty picture of Isa and Mick looks happy.
I am wiped out from this week of running from here to there and then back again. Just 2 more weeks and driver's ed will be over. Then back to being home...

MiraB ... oh my!! My fondness for your Marjen just grows on me everytime!!! It makes such a statement. YTou can send it to me ... and the tulips no doubt, to Anael! Are the animal flowers for your childrens' hospital quilts? I see a Tiger Lily, Cat Tails, PUssy Willows, and DogWood ... not too original, am I? And guessing one might be a BatDragon? As for DSs Friday hospital run ... I vote for your DH, as you'll be doing lots of extras once he is back home! Will he come to your place for a few days? or back to his own?
Anael .. a new love with your new camera? Great capture ... as if you'd been an inch or two off, you would not have caught the reflection so impressively! Another great wall hanging ... a nice Christmas addition!
QNSue ... thanks for the accolades, though I don't think it's anywhere near as showy as the FWS. Of course, it all depends on the classes that I put it into (not always the "right" class for a quilt), the Judges thoughts ... and without a doubt, what other quilts show against it. No shows now til September. Today I am getting the hanging sleeve in place and then will properly finish it off by blocking the border and a good thread picking and trimming! Sorry that you are feeling low on the energy and hope you will "learn" to lay low to let the meds work. When do you go back to the Dr. for a progress check up?
GGal ... for now, finishing PC, as above! And definitely need and want to tackle the plethora of PhDs!! Of course, need to keep at the MBs, though I seem to be only doing them on an as needed basis. However, want to get Aug and Sept done ahead, as that's when I am on the road again, quite a bit ... and did not manage any sewing during that time. OK, I did start something new ... the Red, White and Black/Charcoal GFGs ... and I'll fess, yesterday I started looking for light coloured, white based prints for the large GFGs. I'm hooked on them ... as an on the road project, as well as something I do upstairs, while waiting for supper to cook, or when talking on the phone etc.
DublB ... great news! Assuming all checks out between now and 7/24, when will you move? and when does your home go up for sale?
JeanieG ... time to get tough on those insurance guys! ggrrrrrrrr!!!!
Ladies ... I have a new quilt rack ... simple to do! Used two coat hooks and a 1-1/2" dowel (8 ft long!). The hardest part is finding the coat hooks with a deep enough hook to hold the dowel. Mounted the hooks right near the ceiling, with the plans to hang the PC ... though it will still require folding up the bottom border, and part of the bottom row of blocks as the ceiling in my sewing room is just 87". Yes, Yes ... pics will follow ... I just wanted to tell you the good news!
Rainy weather ... who sent that to me?
(I'll gladly send it to you DublB!)

Took a break from working on the hanging sleeve, and to prep supper.
It's brewing in the crockpot now!
Here's a photo of the end of my new quilt rack .... waiting for my PC
Hooks $10
8 ft Dowel $22
Blocks from wood stash!!
The price was right ... and it was so Easy Peasy!

Anael - what a wonderful wall hanging for Christmas. Way to go Girl! I have tons of Christmas fabric, thanks to my 80 year old aunt who decided she would not sew anymore. She gave me so much great fabric.
Great quilt rack for your quilts, QuiltE! What a great idea! You can change quilts with the season! I sent my Insurance Adjustor quite an earful yesterday. I've about had it! I hate to make him mad at this point, but I will be reporting all these problems to his supervisor after the fact.
Bev, when do you move??? Looked like the house was pretty empty! I don't envy you all the work involved in your move though. I packed up a lot of my kitchen for our problem here, so know what you will be going through. I had ServPro pack up the breakables.
