Hi Jeanie
the picture dosent do justice to the colors... the tan is very warm and so is the cream, it washes out so badly with the camera flash.

I have a warm chocolate brown for sashing and crappy cornerstones

I was wondering why you would use "crappy" cornerstones. LOL

QNSue ... Thanks for your positive response to my PC, along with noting the Canadian twist! I'm SO happy you are finding your groove with your new machine. I just finished the simple tabletopper tonight ... tmro pictures to share, hopefully along with your placemats! Good luck on sorting out about your tables/machines.

JeanieG and CarrieM ... OMG ... that is a beautiful block! Wonderful colours and fabric selection, giving perfect contrast and movement.

GGal ... thanks ... it did go to the Fair, and yes a red ribbon plus the Grand for Machine Quilted Quilts!! *blush* Other Fairs aren't til September/October, so I'm not going to count my chickens in advance!! So many to compete with to even think about it. Which reminds me ... I have yet to start a thread about the Fair! OOPS!

JeanieG ... Thanks too ... I know I am blessed with a great LAQ, and tell her that, every chance I get! Looks like it's time for you to get on the warpath with the insurance company ........... again! gggrrrrrrr!!!!

MiraB ... oh sure!!! Try to convince me that you did not PICK those roses!!! Glad to know DS is coming along well ... no doubt thanks to all your TLC. Did you do some sewing today? I'm thinking the embroidery might not be as hard on your shoulder as quilting? Wouldn't it be nice to have our two PCs together? ... yours has a lot more exquisite designs ... I still can't get over the quilting on the sashing and cornerstones. Amazing!!

QNSue and JanieW ... what a lovely pair of blocks. I really like the simplicity and yet a lot happening within it. Looks like that block would make an interesting secondary pattern.

JanieW ... so glad to know you are home, safe and sound. No doubt about it, there's going to be BIG celebrations in Cowtown for Canada Day ... Nenshi said so, so we know it will happen! And then onwards to the Stampede!!! Rest up, so you can really enjoy your company. Do you know anyone seriously affected by the flood ... or as the High River Mayor corrected today, it's a disaster, not a flood. So sad ... and outright unbelievable, even seeing the pics.

DDamsel ........ oooooooo ..... aaaaaah ......... *sigh* ....OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!! Yes my dear, sew like a madwoman, so we can really see it!!!! I see you've joined me with a couple of personal touches ... bottom left and bottom right ... Snake? and Coyote? or? Perhaps more there, that I didn't find? Thanks for your love fest ... yours is so classy ... mine so loud! *giggles* ... crappy cornerstones!!!

Omgosh all the eye candy! Blocks & PC's either done or comin' along great!
I know that I was supposed ta mail my MB out taday but I really don't like it. So I'm redoin' it now. Besides it'll take me less time ta make another one than ta do those tiny black applique lines ta keep the center from floatin'. I really messed up on color placement. I'll do it tanight & mail it out tamarrow.

QuiltE you always make me laugh, just checked the other fabrics and surprise surprise there are a few more roses to stitch into Sylvia I have been doing a "little" bit of sewing today. Am doing some embroidery also but I think it is actually worse for the shoulder as I am constantly rethreading the machine and the left shoulder gets a workout.. Just had a call from the Doc's and he wants to see me in regards to my x-rays that were taken last week, won't see him until the 9th of next month as next Wednesday I am having an ultra-sound on the shoulder, so may as well see him when I have done both..aaarrrggghhhhh

Oh mirabelle-bummer about the continued shoulder issues. Here chiro wants me to get see MD, get xrays to check if other issues are at hand-all before Monday night!!

DD It is fantastic!! Will you be handsewing the sashings and "s"crappy cornerstones by hand, too? Then onto the final--hand quilting, too?

If all's quiet from this end-well life is kind of busy right now. Hopefully can check in and at least get a peek at those MB's that are flying through the air!
