Oh how sad for you, MiraB ... there's been so many rumblings in your patchwork group for sometime now. Now for another know-it-all, stirring the pot ... and with a LAQ/DD I fear what she is next going to say regarding your DSM FMQing! ggrrrrrrrrrr (Like JanRN, I probably would not be able to be so diplomatic as you! more gggrrrrrr!!!!). You enjoyed your group so much, and to have that joy taken is terrible. The important part is that the McD Qs will get to the right place and will be so appreciated by all who stay in those rooms. So nice to have something personally made, instead of just the commercial bedding. So welcoming!
QNSue ... I'm echoing what MiraB has already said.
JanRN ... Oh no! Are you starting to wonder if that FART-irement is ever going to become a reality? The good thing is that you can do it. Oh to be SO wanted! Had to laugh though at the only 2 uniforms .... maybe better get it down to one and then tell them that you can only do one load of wash a week! Then again, BossDoc just might go out and buy you a full set of uniforms!
mmmmmmmmmmmmm for JanRNs pot roast ... with roast veggies and potatoes?
Same concept here today. Mine will be Scalloped Pork Chops, Potatoes, Onions and Carrots! Yup ... you figured it out, a one dish wonder that I can make and stuff in the oven and forget ... then go and sew!!!
Frosty here this morning too, though sunny and bright and all things beautiful!

Yes ladies, you may send the blocks early..at this point receiving a surprise in the mail early is fine with me...it keeps the spirits up when we see the pretty blocks posted... I have my fabric & block pattern picked out for Nov & Dec & will get them done in NC...The only thing I hate about going back & forth is the packing & unpacking...ugh!
Mirabelle, some people are just meddlers no matter what you say or do...if she continues to meddle just tell her to mind her own business and to keep her nose out of yours...
Good News Jan..there are reports online that you will live longer if you continue to work..
QuiltE, I think it was you that listed the letters for the smilies...I only know of , , ...what are the rest???
QNS, Again.. take it easy!!!!

Honchey ... you're just going to have to get the packing cut down to less!! Having never been migratory myself, I'm sure it's easier said than done, I suspect. I know that my sister has really cut down on what she takes to Florida each year. I think it's pretty much one change of clothes for en route, her undergarments and toiletries .... and the most precious of all, her quilting suitcase! Used to take a machine, but now has one there permanently. Virtually no food, because of the border crossing hassles. So you like surprises?
JanRN ... Guess we now know that you will live FOREVER!!!!!!!!! ......... with no time to quilt!
No, I've never posted a smiley library, but here's a few of the simple ones!
(to get the smiley to show, do not put a space between the characters)

Sounds to me, Mirabelle, you need to 'become' a blonde and attend whatever patchwork meetings you want to go to. Jeanie and i have laughed at blonde jokes, I was born a blonde.. A blonde can 'pretend' to be very dumb and look at people who have all the answers, and say, "Oh, really?" And go on with life. If they really think the person is over stepping, they may say, "Oh, dear, reeeeallllly?" and sigh long and loud., "Really glad you told me!" That person that 'knows' everything is showing off her ignorance and is too dumb to know it....so consider it's advice from the peanut gallery or pea brained individual.
Yes, I am taking life one minute at a time...trying to be very careful. Dh can fix himself meals and snacks for himself. I did get the linen closet cleaned out, but all that jammed in paperwork-I-will-file-later is on my sewing tables now. That will keep me busy for the rest of the month...or two. Guess I can think up more excuses if I need to do so, until I cannot stand it anymore. Bf has returned home to support her dh, but we 'appreciated' her help, but not necessary the 'advice'....which I told her went into one ear and out the other. Being in a junior high scheme for 37 years just may have something to do with my attitude today...there was a peanut-minded person in every crowd. Just as long as it was not me, I felt 'safe'.

QNSue ... The "paperwork-I-will-file-later" has been so and never affected life, has it. So find a box, and put the pile into it, and label it to give a clue with today's date. If you ever need something from it, you know where to go. The date will remind you how long it has sat from today ... and sometime you will decide it's time to just toss it!
As you would say ... Life's too short ...

HI all,
QNS, I'm glad you're ok and your surgery went well
My DS, DDIL, Mick and the twins were here this morning. Bram and Isa are doing well though Isa has been throwing up a lot in the past week. She's back to 8 bottles a day now and she's not throwing up that much anymore.
I made lemon bars before they arrived. Mick liked them, he wanted to taste a bite and came back all the time telling me his mouth was empty again
I was very tired after they left so I fell asleep on the couch while watching a movie
