But that's the beauty of this project,QE! Matchy, matchy is not my style, but neither is the random pick from a bag approach either, Jan.

I know OK ... matchy-matchy is not me either. I was bemoaning how long each block of this takes, vs. matchy=matchy ...... heck you could almost have a whole quilt done by the time I pick fabric and make a pair of blocks!!!

And now ... #43 and #44 are awaiting y'all!
(part way thru #45, so hopefully will have that pair ready tonight too)

OKSGlad .... Tried a new tactic ... and put the blocks on the floor and shot down at them, being that I wasn't here during daylight hours today!

#45 and #46 are now up!
62/111

Had a technical difficulty for awhile ... lost my camera!
New photo technique for this set, and I think it worked better than the ones before. I put them on the floor, and then stood on a chair and shot down at it.

I'm behind on catching up with the chatter in the threads, and will do so later tomorrow, as have an early start. And too, for anyone I owe a PM, that'll be tomorrow too! SORRY!!!!!!!

Hope to cross the #50 marker this weekend, and get the grouping shot done.
Til Later .......

Have you thought of putting a lamp sans shade behind you behind your left shoulder? Got 4 blocks cut out last night and maybe cut out a couple more tonight. Hope to sew Sunday after Amy and kids head back to WI. Had 4-H fundraiser tonight and am beat.

Of course not ... that'd be too logical (and work!) for me!
I think last night's pics turned out a little better, with the light over head, blocks on the floor, and me on the chair! Yes, comical when you think of it!

OK ... I'm surprised we've seen/heard from you, with the gang all around this weekend! Please do tell us about the 4-H fundraiser, and results! While sad to see them go, I'm sure you'll be ready for a rest from all the extras around!!

That is exactly how I do the photos of the finished lap quilts.

Please take a look and tell me if this photo is any better .... #47 and #48

With PCQ coming, and the rumours of Y-seams, #47 was a good practice ... and convinces me of the merits of PPing!

OKSGlad ... thanks for the 200% hint. I've been using it to view blocks/quilts and getting a much clearer view!

Ladies ... As I pieced away last night, I got to thinking about ........ how many different fabrics did you use in your FWS quilts?

I have been cutting a piece of each and setting aside, each time I add a new one. When showing quilts here, I have to have a piece of all the fabrics (or most), so have started doing it as I go, to minimize stress. There's been time I've been scrambling in a panic when I have no clue where the fabric has vanished to in my stash!

I'll do a count of those pieces once I hit the five-oh sequential mark and let you know.

In the meantime .... I'd really be interested to know what your counts are!

You know this is a great idea to use. If I cut mine a small square say 1 or 1 1/2 inch then I could make a charm mini--maybe a tatw or checkerboard. Going to start right now, thanks QE.
