I know what you mean! It was a bit of a pain, but Evie has made it considerably less painful, as she has all of the threads posted on her blog!!! Sweetie, isn't she? So trot on over (note the Pony-Club-speak!) and take her list and you'll get the subscribes done quicker than you think!

I was tempted by the Bonnie Hunter one, but decided, no I have more than enough on the go!!
BCS = Border Creek Station patterns
The designer develops a pattern and then the LQS's offer it as a Mystery. We get one clue per month, for eight months. When I did the work on it last night, it seemed so strange after working with all the FWS blocks, ever so tiny! Strips were 3", sewn together then cut into 3x8" blocks, and some 3" squares. I think it took me about as long to do the first month's clue as it takes to do one FWS block!!!
If you'd like to see what's happening ... check this thread

I decided to do the Mystery quilt because of a pattern by the same designer that I did a few years ago, as a $10 quilt challenge. You can look at it here ... the quilt with the piano key border
Fairer than Fair at the Fair ...... the Results are In!!!
I figured if it got me a red ribbon (remember, that's a first in Canada), then chances are the Mystery wasn't much of a risk for disappointment!

Allrighty, Ladies ... you can now all officially help me celebrate in being past half-time with 58/111 completed now!!!
wooohooooooooooo
I just posted #37 and #38.
Tonight I didn't feel like sewing so much, so once I got the Four Winds to stop blowing around, I went ahead and picked out the fabric for #43 thru #50. Should let me move ahead quicker with the sewing and reach that Five-Oh, as I feel I spend a lot of time choosing the fabric for each block.
Now to see if I stick to that plan, or start switching them up?

Also heading over to check them out. I'm happy to hear that you spend a lot of time picking fabric for each block. I did, too. I envy people who can put their fabric in a bag, pull it out at random and sew it into a nice looking block. I'd faint on the floor if I did this--I'm much too anal; have to look, and study, and move that fabric and then I'm not always happy. This is so fun looking back at all the blocks. Great work, QE--you're almost there!!

Aren't you Little Miss Humour this morning?
Almost there? .... yea right .... with 53 to go? and sashings and cornerstones and setting triangles and border.
Yup almost there!!!!!!!! <GULP>
Though it does feel kind of nice being on the downslide of the numbers now!!!
And with those fabric selections done ..... hopefully the next few will slide along quickly.
I'm starting to yearn for a matchy-matchy assembly line quilt!!!!!!!!!!
