Hi Everyone, I think the templates are for hand piecing after using them to cut the pieces of fabric needed to make the block..the page with the block diagramed is for referencing of maybe even to color it so you know where the templates are supposed to be? I only print out the pping pages and color the sections..I use the little numbered block as a reference & color it too...
After you've done a few blocks you'll find your own way of using the templates, diagram, pping. and in spite of all the info with them...I still have my book next to me at the machine...You have no idea how many times I've sewn sections the wrong way.

My copy was to cut out the section to do, as that way I would have the my first print to get if I ever decided to make that block again. not have to find and print out. My way of thinking??? I have used the freezer paper before doing some Inklingo patterns.
Thanks for all information.

I've decided to print out the diagram of the completed block too, at least for now. I think it will help me as a double check when joining the separate foundation papers together.

I am sewing together a block today. It's been so long since I have done pp, especially the tiny pieces. What used to look easy peesie now looks like 'can I really do this'?
What is pp with freezer paper? I printed the diagram for the completed block and colored the different sections.

Hi Everyone, 26 days to go before we can see some beautiful, down right gorgeous blocks, right?!!!!!
Cooky, I would darken the lines where the sections have to be sewn...
I'm not at home right now and don't have my book with me...Can someone tell me how much yardage is needed for the background, border and binding ?

For what size quilt Honchey?
The queen uses all 99 blocks...
4 yards setting fabric
2 1/2 yards border and binding
If you want a different size let me know.

Thanks Carriem, I like to use a single length for the borders and just wanted to make sure that the 3 yards of w/w I bought yesterday will be long enough for any size I will eventually make...

Ah! 26 days! That's going to come up fast, and I was so optimistic about having major projects done by then. I guess I better get my A-I-G!

Husky, I know what you mean! I've been working on getting my sewing area cleaned up. Why is it so much easier to pull things out than to put them away? Plus the new "finds" I bring home all need to be organized and put in their proper places. This FW project has given me the incentive I need to get my AIG!

Sunrise, I pp with freezer paper all the time. You iron the freezer paper to the fabric, then fold the paper back and stitch along the folded edge so you're not stitching through the paper. Here's a good tutorial: http://www.twiddletails.com/store/in...age=page&id=21
