The New Farmers Wife '30's Quilt-Along
#41
I just ordered the book and am looking forward to joining in on my very first quilt-along! I have a lot of scraps to use up plus new fabrics too. I'm not going to make a full size quilt but am thinking I'll do the blocks and then divide them up for smaller projects. This should be fun. I'll try to keep up!

Hi Everyone, Please make a note of the following for the future: Block #3 section J & K have numbering errors..The pieces in these sections should be sewn in 1,3,2 order... A little birdie let me know...Thanks, Jan..
I will remind you again when week # 2 rolls around...

Welcome, Sophie--I'm anxious to see the FWS from a UK perspective. This is going to be a lot of fun.

If I counted correctly, we're a group of 19 so far... Counting the days to start! 54....Way too many.. Grrrrrrr

That is a long time! I'm sure it will go fast though! I printed out the template for the first block today. I want to experiment with the paper piecing and see if I'm going to go that way, or do normal rotary cutting. Considering some of the blocks are quite complex (Em) and will have tiny pieces, normal cutting/sewing seems impossible!

That's exactly what happened to me when I first started pping 2 books ago....it's doable hand sewing but not for me with the bitty pieces...
I just recounted and this number is better and correct "42" sorry,
