finally got my block done all from scrap box. need to work on my point set. but not bad for a newbie

Tomara, your block is very pretty. There are no 'quilt police' here, just quilters ready to help. We were all 'newbies' at one time, the more you make, the better you will get. Keeping the points are a bit tricky, what I've found is, make sure you have a 1/4" from end of point to raw edge. Sometimes you can fudge a bit on the seam, like doing a 'scant' 1/4", so that your point will show. You'll get better as you go..

Libster I recognize your floral fabric, are you going to sash it and add it to your boom blocks.

think I have decided to use yellow and blues. Have a lot that needs to be used up

Tomara, kudos for jumping in as a newbie. Practice makes perfect for sure. Do you use any sizing (near the starch in the laundry isle)? I always use it especially when sewing angles, it helps to stablize the fabrics while you are sewing.
