New Quilting Bee, July 2017

Zennia, on the Home page of the site you will see a Help button on the top right on the tool bar. Click on that and then click on preparing photos for upload. I don't use Paint but any photo program should allow you to resize your photos. Good luck and I hope I see some of your quilt blocks.

HAPPY 4TH everyone. Just Jan - LOLO that's ok, I didn't think anything about your statement, I just thought maybe you didn't know new Bee'ers should PM me first, not a strict requirement, but it helps to know who's who...
Ladies, your blocks are so pretty. Sauki, glad to see you post again, missed you. Jayne, the black & gray will make a stunning quilt. Libster, I love your Avatar block, did you make it? Neat pattern.
Here are my blocks - keep forgetting to post..

My avatar block is one that I made for one of our Boom swaps. Her fabric was so pretty that I hated chopping it up really small, so I made a block with large pieces. Then I decided I needed to dress it up a little more. I was pleased with how it turned out. I've just made a 20 1/2" medallion block like that today for my latest great-granddaughter's quilt center. It's looking pretty good even if I did make it. I just hope her Mom likes it.

Here's the first of my July blocks, Auntie's Puzzle. The background is lavender. The other colors are medium and dark burgundy, with just hints of pink and purple. Sorry the colors are off in the picture.

Beautiful block Jan. Thank you for sharing your construction shortcuts. It is honestly very helpful to hear how other people make the blocks.

Jayne, I'm a firm believer that in life the end result is what counts. I may not do things the same as someone else, but as long as I end up in the same place, I'm happy. To each, his/her own! Whatever works, just go for it!

Good evening, I had a nice quiet afternoon and got to spend some time sewing. I have both of the July block's done and one June. Working backwards but hope to be caught up soon. I t was just so relaxing to look at all your pics and play with my fabric. I am trying to use up some of my civil war fabrics. Not going to try and learn posting pics yet but I will later. having fun, thanks for letting me join.
