You're welcome Jan, I figured you'd just opened the August post. Carrot, your blocks are really pretty, I too, like the little prints. Glad all came out with just 'property' damage - I know it has to really be stressful for ya'all. Same here when tornadoes hit!

Bet it would make a cute lap or baby quilt, and think it might be a good go-to block for fast and easy donation quilts. (I've been thinking of making a block using black and white with a red accent square. Didn't get it made so just posted my pink and green test block.)
Just a good 10" basic block to add to our set. Hope others like it, too. Janet
Jan, Thanks for the new block pattern. I will have to try it out, probably in a few days. I have been neglecting my weaving loft so the last few mornings I have been winding a new, multi-colored cotton warp for some yardage for a shirt pattern. It feels really good to be playing with yarn:-)

Fabric Galore and other FL friends.... I'm so sorry to hear about the damage you received, but am sure glad it wasn't any worse. All these hurricanes are crazy and very scary. We'll keep our fingers crossed no more make their way your direction.

Just Jan, unpacked my fabric today to make your block and it is short fabric. You might look at the directions again and post new ones. You just can't make a block with these pieces
Might help if I show you a pic

Loving the colors in these blocks. I'm in the middle of making a quilt so holding off doing this month's blocks hope to catch up soon. Keeping those in prayers who had damage to their homes or business.

I'm not Jan, but I looked at her pattern. Your background, the blue should have 5 - 3" squares cut. Her instructions said 3. There are two in the four patch center and then 1 on each of 3 corners which makes 5.

Pretty colors....got to get back on my blocks.

OOPS! I should have said Jan's instructions were for 2 of the 3" background blocks. There should be a total of 5 - 3 for the corners and 2 for the center four patch.

Here is my September bonus block. I constructed it using two 3" x 8" pieces of the dark blue (also used three 3" sq of dark blue).
