Oh Anne, I love it! It's purdy! The grey makes the red really pop! Or is it green? My monitor shows it as grey.
OK my prayers for your DS! HUGGS

Today I voted, did some laundry, had my apprentice over (we made a skirt) & got some paperwork notarized. It doesn't sound like much but it took most of the day.

One bad thing about being "away" like I am is that when "news" happens it's so hard to decide to stay or go...We also had news to deal with... so I can say February is finally over and done with...

MrOK hates February and is oh so glad when it's over. This is the month when what can go wrong will go wrong. The weather is cold; cows are tired of it; lots of ice for man and beast to slip on...usually under a cover of new snow. Getting a 1000-1200# cow up after a nasty slip is not easy. Being out in the cold sucks the energy out of the body, and often a nap is on the docket to be ready for the next round of chores.

March came in like a lion, but the days grow longer and the sun has more warmth...no wonder we love spring.

Honchey hope your news is looking more positive...love the DP9 start. This is a popular colorway at the shop.

In between customers I sewed a quick lap quilt and a panel wall hanging. Productive day.

Thanks for the kind words regarding the checkerboard quilt...DIL was impressed with both. FR isn't until April, so will be a while before I hear $ results.

This week concentrating on church omelet breakfast that I'm co chair of...always something....

I've been told staying busy keeps you young :) I better hurry up and start getting busy :D

Thanks for the comments on my DNP.. after looking at it from a distance I'm second guessing the red squares in the gray pin dot squares, it looks a little flat.. would the red print be better? I have another pretty print that I want to do another DNP with and I'm considering using a print in the solid contrasting squares...Looks like I 'll have to get the crayons & paper out .

Have a good day everyone..H.

Oh my! Anne! How cute your D9P is! The colors look perfect as they are. I'm at the stage of putting the binding on a D9P that I made and it looks so different! I set the blocks on point and used sashes. It has an all-over swirly quilting. Here's a picture of it at this stage.

OH givio! I looove your DP9! The sashing & on point setting really changes it up! It is such a happy quilt!

Fly, fly butterflies, so pretty..I've never seen that layout before..so many different ways to do the D9P...

It is a favorite pattern of mine!

Ladies, you have been busy! such beautiful work! I got two squares done on D9P, and left it as a UFO. . .never to return to it.:D

Making slow progress as time passes all too quickly, and the days fly by. Tomorrow I get a Perm in my hair at a new shop to try; hope it does not turn into a purple or orange color on me. Sigh, it will be what it will be. Wanna get pictures taken for the kids to remember us by at our 50th anniversary. Fingers crosses for tomorrow's Perm...and a few prayers too

cannot see well tonight, and tired, so everyone take care and have a good week this week.

What pretty quilts you ladies have made--yinz are so productive. I spent all day (like 6 hours) working on a 6" Pineapple block. The hardest part was getting the colors right. Finally found a combo I liked, finished the block, stood back to admire it and: piece #21 (out of 48) was wrong!!!!! No way to salvage it, the strips are only 1/2" wide and there's no way to unsew it. So I'll try it again today. It's cold and we got snow overnight so I'm staying home today. How can one make a silly mistake like that? I colored all the sections so I wouldn't mess up. Well, at least with that small of a block there's very little wasted fabric.

My son had another dr's appt yesterday. All looks good thank God. He has full movement in all fingers & thumb but he still has to wear splints and isn't allowed to grip anything for another 4 weeks. He can resume traveling (darn it). He's upset because he won't be able to golf for at least 2 months. But he now realizes this was serious, don't think he realized how close he came to losing those body parts. Thanks again for all you kindness & understanding when this Mama Bear freaks out over her cub!
