Food for Thought
"Life can only be understood backwards,
... but it must be lived forward."
~~Soren Kierkegaard~~

A new way of saying this old one ...
Learn from the past.
Live in the present.
And prepare for the future.

QuiltingNinaSue 10-05-2013 11:43 AM

Or: Yesterday is history, tomorrow is the future, but today is the present....a gift for all of us to enjoy the one time it comes around in lifetime. No matter how good or bad, we never have a repeat of any day in all of our lifetimes. Here today and gone tomorrow. Life is too short, so enjoy it. No matter what you do, find ways to enjoy it and forget and forgive others...to repeat: Life is toooooo short.

Thanks everyone for the advice on the 'slice', now to keep all the white on one side and blue on the other. Just messed up one and remaking it.

I know where ILean when; ILean on my Hurricane cane as I walk...trying to 'baby' my knee and it still hurts like crazy of a night, even to the sheets touching it. Anxious to see what the specialist finds on Monday afternoon.

An easy solution ... is to do an assembly line, and do all five of the same piece addition, one after the other, then on to the next piece for all five.

Yes, all good quotes to appreciate life!

I took another day off. LOL First I had ta take #2DSon ta the urgent care clinic ‘cause he has puss pockets on his tonsils. I had intended ta go ta the Quilt show durrin’ that time. So when I got back I decided ta call DM & go ta the quilt show instead o’ cleanin’ the old house. All we need ta do ta finish is the front bathroom. I’ll do that on Mon.

So glad you had a day away from the "old" house dublb. Did you find anything interesting at the Quilt Show? Hope #2DS is going to be ok, sounds like those tonsils need to come out. (I know, they don't take them out like when I was a child, I had mine out at age 7.)

Bev so glad you are nearing the end of your cleaning, take a good long rest and recover properly, there is only one you in this world.

Thank you everyone for your kind words, sometimes I feel like such a bi%^& for not sharing, but then it is so one sided..

Not having a car at my disposal has been very good for accomplishing a lot in my sewing room:D, here is what has been going on.
First I finished my embroidered Peirrot quilt
Second I sewed three more rows to my mini star quilt
Third or at the same time the embroidery machine has been humming along with some gorgeous blocks.

Now to baste a quilt for DD, she is giving it as a gift next year.

Hi Nina, here's a photo of what your block looks like...

QuiltingNinaSue 10-05-2013 05:01 PM

Wow, Honchey, I wish it did. Started with Quilte's advice, first two blocks were fine, then the blue jumped on the wrong side again. Hope for better luck tomorrow. Have to laugh at myself and how I see things...it a real challenge.

Your work, Miraballe, is marvelous. Top of the line...wonderful, beautiful, just perfect. Love it all.

Honchey ... great mirror shot!!

MiraB ... my goodness you have been busy! Do you ever slow down? :) Your Pierrots are cute and the new Little Ladies are just plain fun!

DublB ... sometimes you just have to slow down to finish the last of the work! When I moved ten years ago, I just got the point of exhaustion ... no one else to do it. You have been so fortunate to have so much help.

JeanieG ... speaking of which ... are all things finished and settled now with all your house "work"?

QNSue ... patience!

By yourself! My mind can't even comprehend that! Ya have just made a step up in my hero hall o' fame!
