QNS--I like your newest SYE piece...great idea to get different shades by flipping fabric.

I've decided to set SYE aside until I know what is happening with my shoulder. I have MBs to finish and 3 different quilts I need to get done in case I have to have surgery. My Oct and Feb MBs are finished, Nov MB is all cut out and ready to sew. I have Dec and Jan patterns and fabric chosen.

Mirabelle--those are some more great projects. What's the plan for the little girl blocks?

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Carrie, I can relate...at least, I know when my cataract will be removed...and that there will be 72 long hours of blindness. I will find out tomorrow what is wrong with my knee and what they will do or not do...after 14 weeks, its about time. You are better organized than I. Have not touched October MB yet. Still working on Oct. 3rd SYE block.

GGal being a fly on the wall could be dangerous, just ask NinaSue, she swats them with dead accuracy:D:D Take a break from your "disaster" quilt and think about it for a while, you might come up with a solution instead of reverse sewing. Isn't it interesting though that different rulers can make a huge difference.

QuiltE my brain is only muddled sometimes:D most of the time it is running on empty, bit like my fuel tank:D:D
Yay for jumping on the Spike ride, knew you couldn't resist playing with us.

NinaSue I haven't purchased anything from Missouri Star as they wouldn't reply to my e-mail regarding shipping costs but I do enjoy watching Jenny's tutorials. She is very talented. Yes I agree with you regarding the early posts for Spike blocks:mad:

Ddamsel love the kitty story, gave me a good laugh this morning.

JeanieG your house must be almost completed by now, is everything getting back to normal for you.

Carriem make sure you download your Spike blocks for when you get back to them, I hope you don't have to have surgery but if you do I wish you all the best. I am quilting a single bed quilt at the moment, started it yesterday but am only quilting for an hour at a time, so far so good.
As to a plan for the girls, DD's new little girl has a cousin who is 6 and they are very close so I thought I would make them matching quilts, they won't get them for some time though, I have to stitch out 30 designs but a design is starting to form in my muddled brain, just have to put it down on paper.

Have a great day everyone, I have 2 more days of quiet before DH comes home.

MiraB ... thanks for the confidence, though I have not done any more Spikes! Just that first one I did back in the summer, then turned it into a Topper. Take note though that I WILL be doing them. Just too many other things to prevent me from getting into them yet. Oh my, now quilts for Little Cousin as well!! :)

Just popping in to say "hi" and to tell you again how much I enjoy reading all these posts. It takes a while to catch up. Everyone is so busy and productive, lots of beautiful pics to look at. I feel like I'm sitting in the RV with all of my friends.

Spent all day Friday at work with DEA agents, local & state police, and sheriff sorting out the mess with the stolen prescription pads. Apparently she was a busy gal--the police found forged and called-in rx's from the third day she worked in the office. I'm still scheduled to work all week except for Friday. Going to a local quilt show. Have a great week everyone, I'll catch up with you in the RV in the evenings for a nice glass (or two) of wine.

Jan--sounds like an exciting day at work. I am sure the patients were very interested to know what was going on! Nice that you have a quilt show to look forward to at the end of the week. :)

Wow Jan what an exciting day you had, meet you in the RV for more stories, enjoy the quilt show.

JanRN ... let's hope the next new employee doesn't bring quite the same drama! How nice to know you are off to a quilt show this Friday.

It bothers me too. Maybe when you post the cutting instructions for the blocks you could mention the posting month in the heading too. Some but probably not all will get the idea.

QuiltingNinaSue 10-07-2013 08:22 AM

And then some post a question on where the instructions are, because they fail to go down the list to find the instructions..maybe a later posting for the next month, and just give instructions for say, 'October', and wait to post November the last week of October???, just wondering if that would help...like the last Monday of the month?? Then they post in the discussion, instead of where the photos are suppose to go for each block. Like they totally ignore the schedule that was posted, and post where the instructions are, that is suppose to be just the instructions, nothing else. What do the rest of you think about it???? Can they be removed if it is posted in the wrong place?? And not embarrass anyone?
