When this happens I should probably get up & try to read but I'm always afraid that once I get up I'll be that much more awake so I just toss & turn 'til I finally go back to sleep. When I feel like I really need to get a good night's sleep I take an OTC sleep aid. Usually helps. I wish I could sleep like I used to!

Strangely, it isn't available here in Ireland - they only let you get it on prescription, but I get mine online through ebay from the UK.

I also read, turn on the TV, or come here.
Uh,oh! the Melatonin Police will find you now! Fraid it will be like that in US before long.
Heard the other day that a totally dark room helps and NO TV, computer stuff, or electronic screens for at least an hour before bedtime. Think about the people on the QB or reading their Kindles or Nooks. Are we ever in trouble!

My brother in law swears by melatonin. They even use it as a natural remedy for their son's ADHD.

I listen to Coast to Coast on the radio. Then, as it gets really interesting, I try hard to stay awake to listen and sure enough, I fall asleep!
