Well today is the 28th and I'm just reading the message board. I'm up all hrs. of the night but my problem is nature calls and also my mattress is horrible. The bad thing about it is I can't get on the computer if I get up as my laptop is out of commission and I have to go down stairs for the desk one. I don't want to wake anyone else up so it's either putting a puzzle together or watching tv and falling asleep with it on along with my glasses on. lol then I wake up a little later saying to myself " darn I didn't take my specs off "

My mom always said she couldn't sleep if one of her kids was out of the house. I find that I have become the same way. I'm ok with the married ones, but that one that is single is living and working in Japan. He is the one I'm waiting for.

I feel for everyone who has trouble sleeping. I went through this for years. I use to play Tai Chi music very softly and burn sandalwood or lavender in my oil burner. It did help.
Best advice was given by DH mate. He said visualize putting all the thoughts going through your mind into a bag and hanging them in a corner of the room (I had to do better and hang them from the back fence). In the morning they will have disappeared. You do have to practice but it does work. These days I sleep like a log.
I think one of the best things is to realize that all the worrying in the world won't change things. As my BFF use to say to me if you can do something about it do so, if not forget it. Also easier said than done, but does work if you practice.
Hope some of these ideas might help someone to a better night's sleep.

I've had trouble going to sleep for over a month now. Went to the doctor yesterday and he gave me a prescription that he said would work.....well, it did after tossing and turning for 3 hours. Must be something in the quilting air?
