I forgot to tell you, candles eradicate odors too...so if you had lit a couple Roman candles...
course you and hubby could have always said, "What smell?"
"That's funny. Everything smelled just fine before we answered the door  :!: "

Party is today - haven't ventured over to that area of the house yet to see if the odor has drifted up - going to leave the door to the basement closed for sure.

Party went good - no one ventured to the basement. Had to hem some pants for my daughter - but manage to keep everyone upstairs while I did this. Haven't had a chance to keep searching - but it I ever find that little creature will let you all know.

Oh, God! Not to get too far "off-topic" here, but I just saw one of mousie's relatives trot across the carpet on the far side of my living room! EEEEEEEKKKKKKK! He was a dark, dark brown color. Oh, Mousie, forgive me, but he needs to go somewhere else to live! I am not having this in my house! It's been almost 2 years since we've seen one here, and I was soooooo happy! I can't stand having them in my house, and especially anywhere NEAR my stash! I'd never chase YOU out, Mousie, but I think this was a rogue relative! He's GOT TO GO !!!!!!!!!

I had one behind the washer..and at the time no one around to move it. I bought those things you call urinal cakes and threw them behind it. It worked quite well

But where did he go when he left the washer? I still have traps set in the kitchen area where I caught the one during October, but no set off of trap so am thinking there was only one stinker. Going to get under the house when it warms up and use the puffy sealer to seal around all the water pipes that they use to come in.

Hope you find yours soon, but the smell will go when it's just bones and skin. ewwwwwwww what a thought.

    Good luck!
