I see she did different recipes. Hmm, but will try both this year. Mine is similar to the first one posted. I love my crock pot. I use alot in summer because the oven heats the house too much. It's too hot just being summer!! My total gas bill for 4 months (ALL 4 months )has been $9.37. My slowcooker doesn't scorch or dry out food. LOVE THEM!!!!!!!

What is the difference between a crockpot and a slowcooker? I always thought they were one and the same. :?:

My slowcookers you can remove the dish to wash . Mine are bigger then a crockpot which is usually round and tall and won't separate to clean. A crockpot usually has an off and on. Mine are older models. My slowercooker has a low and high with a keep warm setting. It is much larger and oval shaped and could cook a good sized turkey actually. My mom bought me 1 of both, and some one regifted me the other 2 because they didn't like the person they got them from as a gift. I had more but gave them to others who needed them!!

Actually I have cooked with these when I ran team with hubby across country, with an inverter on truck. It is basically a must have item these days amongst truckers who prefer to save money and (restaurants get spendy ) and who want to eat healthier and avoid fast food drive buys. High blood pressure is common amongst long haul drivers who have been on the road for years, and diabeties is second now!

I love meatloaf, but have not tried a crockpot one. I bet it's delicious! I was supposed to make a vegetable soup today. But I got busy with other stuff and didn't get to make it. Tomorrow I am going to a quilt show, so it may not get done tomorrow either! Oh well, there is always Monday night!
