I stay logged in, and I pop in and out of here all throughout the day/evening. I think that although my browser is open, there is a time out after so many minutes of not actively browsing this site. When in time out, my name won't appear on the board as being "logged in." I believe Admin mentioned this, when he swithched to the new board software.

When I am not on my lap top I log out. But my IPOD shows me logged in all the time. So I don't know if I am logged in all the time or not. Let me put it this way. I don't have to log in from the IDOP but I do from the pc. Does that make any sense?

When you close your browser you are safe. It is when the browser is left on that you could have problems. We close the browser so just the background is on so we can log on fster. We shut it down every night. Our scans go off at different times of the day when the computer is on but not logged in. We have Road Runner and the cable is the unsafest type of line to be on using the phone lines per ATT is much safer.

i don't log out, but i don't really know what that does or doesn't do. when i go to a website or leave this site for some other reason, is my name still showing? or if i check my inbox? what if i have the 'puter on and walk away for five hours? does my name stay here? i put the 'puter to sleep at night, but stay logged in. i don't turn the 'puter off. should i? i really don't know. i also have another email account for household items. when i'm there, am i here, as well? after a certain amount of time, are we automatically logged out or something?
