I stay logged in while I am reading the board just in case I want to reply to someone's post. After I am done reading, sometimes 3 hours later...lol including admiring the beautiful quilts that all you wonderful quilters make; I log out. That way, I get emails that I can go to that have something else added that I replied to.
Make sense?

does anyone know how long it takes for our names to vanish after we stop activity on this site, even it we leave the site open?

I stay logged in. Just seems easier.

I stay logged in, but not by choice. I have found that once I log into the site from being shut down, there's no way to log out unless I totally log out of my computer, then log in again. That's a royal pain! It's not that I purposefully stay logged into the Board or the Chat room either, but I seem to have made at least one serious enemy over it. So my advice: log out if you can! Its not worth losing potential friends over!

I usually forget to logout, plus I have a laptop at home and usually forget to logout there also. I leave this work computer on during the week and turn off Friday evening.

I sign off before I shut the pc down at night.
I didn't know we have 'logged in' police on the board. If it bothers someone that I am or am not logged in, I can do without that kind of friendship.

I'm usually on my daughters computer while I'm babysitting so I don't stay logged in!

wintger012: I am confused: if I just close out the website instead of logging off, does that mean that I may be showing still logged in?
