Mine is in a box in the closet, but it hasn't even been 2 years from me yet.

I still have mine. I made mine in high school Home Ec. class and we were married in Sept. after graduation. It didn't cost me $20 to made. Bought everything on sale and some remnants of lace. I made all the girls dresses too. And my mom's and my graduation dress. Mine is a size 5 so no more wearing that and the girls can't wear it either. It has shaving cream and grease on it. I figured this is my dress and if they want, I will make them their own dress. So I never got it cleaned. It still hangs in the closet after 31 yrs.

Yes, I do. I made mine also and it is in a plastic bag in the closet and looks just like it did when I wore in 1971. Can't believe we will celebrate 41 years in a few months.

I still have mine in a box in the closet. A friend of mine recently asked me to make Christmas tree topper angels from hers for her kids and grandkids.

Yes I do have mine, And yes I wish I were that size. I really need to figure out something to do with it. I bought it at a consignment shop in 1981. I did not store it well so it is not a donate type of dress. It is very plain as well. I have seen some beautiful crazy quilts made with the fancier dresses. Also If you are a church person they make christening dresses from them too.

I love your version! I have my wedding dress but my marriage ended after 29 years. I swore if I ever got married again it would be in blue jeans. Thanks for your inspiration!!

We "eloped" although we were living together - I wore a wool skirt and sweater. I don't think I have either one, no pics either.
But I do still have DH, that's what's important!!

BTW, I knew some people who came over from Eastern Europe on work visas - one gal had a side business buying wedding dresses from thrift shops and sending them to her partner in Hungary - made big bucks. Apparently there is a demand for them over there.

I have mine still in an archival box. I think my daughter will wear it as long as she can refashion it a bit. She doesn't like the big poofy 80's sleeves on it. Don't hate me, but it would still fit me if I tried it on now 23 years later!
