Ditto!!! Had three daughters, sewed for them until they were in high school and g/daughter now. The grandsons also, when they were little. I have sewn everything from a cover for a bucket truck well to husband's sport shirts...now i am quilting and do alterations. Love to sew, knit and crochet. Never a boring moment here. Mary

P. S. made whole wedding party dresses, maid of honor, 4 bridesmaids, flower girl, and wedding dress for my own wedding. Curtains for my home as well as my kids' homes and prom dresses. You name it, I've sewn it...lol

I've been sewing 50+ years as well. I've done it for fun, necessity and to make money.Started with my Mom's teaching, 4-H, &High School classes.Made lots of clothing, from baby items to men's suits. Even made drapes at home for a trailer factory so I could make a few dollares & be home with my kids. I just finished kitchen curtains, and have a table topper almost finished that is PP. (been working on it a few years) BUT when it is done, I plan on getting serious about the quilting. Still do patching for the kids:)

Thanks Janetter. I must confess, my wonderful Sis made it from my Mom's quilt scraps. They are both angels now & looking out for me. Probabaly saying "Hurry up and get some quilting done!! We know you can do it". It just reminds me of my wonderful mentors.
Have a great week-end. Avis
