He stays out of my sewing room and I stay out of his garage. It works for us.

Mine will help if I ask to help me with something. He is computer savvy and mechanically minded (I'm not). He is learning how to work the embrodiery machine and knows how to sew. (His mother sewed all the time and taught him). Aboard ship years ago, he sewed patches on uniforms for his shipmates. So he is very handy to have around and does not mind going to fabric stores or quilt shows.

My DH works out. When it comes to the office, goes through my place of sewing, and still looks long!
Only if he sees me worried or angry because something does not come out, question and "supports" my download of frustration!
Think ... (Do not understand or want to learn) ... but always ends up giving me the right answer!
And most importantly ... allows my expenses in fabrics, books and more! It's the closest I can put the patchwork that!
Hahahahaha!
Congratulations to your DH!
But in defense of my DH ... he cook dinner while I sew!
A big hug!

My BF helps! He loves to arrange blocks. He has his own little "stash" of fabrics and my rejected blocks.

Absolutely!! by letting me quilt/shop when I want... by not being surprised (or upset) that I "played" all day instead of making him a fancy supper... by his encouraging words (he thinks everything I make is pretty  ) ... He's wonderful!!

DH likes to pick out fabric and notions and always getting something for the sewing room, but no quilting. He'll fix or rethread the serger and fix the problems and put air conditioner and fans in room, but no quilting. He will also make templates for me.

My husband helps me put my jean quilts on the quilt frame he built me with 3 rollers. He does the pining with big saftey pins because he thinks I'm to slow. I do the tieing. Helps turning the rollers with quilt on.
