Favorite hand lotion?

My doctor recommended Vicks vapor rub. She said to use it on feet and hands overnight with socks and gloves. It has really cut down on cracked skin. Unfortunately that doesn’t help you during the day. I use Shea butter on my hands and around my nails and wipe off excess from my palms while handling fabric. So far so good. : )

I am lucky to live in an area where the winters are not too cold, but handling paper and fabric does a number on my hands especially around the nails. I use pure Shea Butter at night. It is solid at room temperature and I have to warm it up in my hands, but it works well. I used ot put on cotton gloves after I applied it, but I do not worry about that nay more.
It also works wonders on dry cracked heels in the summer. Actually since using it my heels have not cracked, and I wear Sandals all summer long.

Thank you all for your suggestions! I have ordered a few of them and will give them a try. I have a pair of white cotton gloves (got several pair for a quilt show I did at a senior center) and do wear them in the evenings while watching TV. But I hate to sleep with them on - they're too hot. For feet, I recommend Avon foot care products. They really work well for me.

Eucerin Skin Calming Daily Moisturizing Creme - Favorite every day use. Good on any body area that is dry.
Aquaphor Healing Ointment Advanced Therapy - I keep this in my sewing basket. Terrific for dry hands from hand-washing or handling fabric. (Looks like Vaseline, but it not greasy. I can hear my hands go "Ahhhh" when I use it.)

I love Udderly Smooth hand cream. It isn't greasy and I use it when I do handwork. I call it "moo cream" because the coloring on the container looks like a black and white cow hide.

Some WalMart's carry the jar and I have seen it at fabric stores.

Not related in any way to either store.

I have tried everything. I have asked my doctor and dermatologist. Nothing seems to work. Some are better than others. My skin is so dry all over it itches. I tried coconut oil. The best thing I have used is pure shea butter, still not what I need. I try to eat healthy fats and take fish oil supplements.

I am an RN and worked labor and delivery for years (now retired) and have used lubriderm exclusively. We wash our hands so much that my hands always felt dry. And the gloves made it even worse. The powder in gloves has been taken out for the most part but still the sweating will make your hands red.
It is not oily and it rubs in well. Love this lotion.
