I was just awe struck at the canyon...glad you got to stop and peek over the edge.

I heard today that some people got "banned for life" from all Disney parks....My first thought was..."I didn't think Terri was that close to a Disney property!!"

The first time my kids and I - and our Thai exchange student - saw the Grand Canyon, there were 2 inches of snow all around us! Beautiful.

Patti, that's funny! No, not me, no where near a Disney property. We are in Amarillo at the moment for the night.

Yes, we are watching the weather for the storms, that's one reason why we are taking our sweet time. Should be in OK City by noonish-2pm tomorrow, I hope.

    Will update later

Really bad weather in the South, watch the weather reports, do you have a weather station on your van radio?
I love traveling cross country, you get to see so much of our country! Have fun, but stay safe!

Sooooo have you been able to stockpile some new stash during your trip??? Sounds to me like you aren't spending enough time at quilt shops along the way....

I've been looking for shops, but haven't found any as of yet.
We are in KS right now and should be leaving Thurs afternoonish/Friday morning. Not sure. But, if I had my way, we'd be outta here by Wed morning.
    Oh well....

I did FINALLY manage to find a place to get my nail fixed. Somehow, I ripped the nail past the quick while on the plane and had been babying it with band aids. Found a girl here that put an acrylic overlay on for me. Now I am happy

Well, KS isn't so bad...I enjoyed our trip through there...the steaks are delicious! I didn't much care for driving through the feed lot country though...and theres lots of that. :?

Lucky to find someone to fix you nail...I hate when that happens! I can never baby it along for the length of time needed. I keep messing with it...drives me crazy!

    Girl.....you are getting closer!!!!

There's really nothing in the small town and I do mean NOTHING!!
We are in Independence, KS. Down in the southeast corner. Just an hour and half north of Tulsa on I 75.
We did manage to find a nice little coffeeshop. There's a Walmart (no fabric) and a grocery store. That's about it. There is a zoo here, it's famous for having the first monkey that went into space.
    Other than that...B O R I N G ! ! !
