I love the Black-Eyed Peas, but did not think that was their best performance. And the National Anthem should be sung as written without embellishments.

Am I getting old, or was that really bad?

No kidding!
When my mother thought to make a comment about Rock and Roll, I reminded her about what she danced to and we both had a great laugh!
But at least in her day and mine, we actually heard and understoond the lyrics and the beat was rather nice...before Elvis really hit the scene.

I actually liked the halftime show. It was fascinating to see all the people in sinc in their steps and the lights set it all off. The music was peppy and it seemed that everyone was having a good time. A great CD for exercising or cleaning house! :)

And yes, the National Athem needs to be left alone and sung by someone that has sense enough to get the words right!!

I thought the National Anthem at the beginning was horrible. Can't they sang it like it was written.
