Default Help, added too much salt!!

I was adding chicken bouillon to a casserole and for some reason I must have doubled or trippled the amount. It is so salty we won't be able to eat it. Do you know a way to remove some of the salt? I have added another can of chicken soup and some more milk, but it is still too salty. Any suggestions?

Add a quartered potatoe & that should absorb some of the salt.

Sorry, but your chicken soup just added more salt!

ITA on the potato. Being a casserole, you might enjoy the potato added to it ... or lift it out before eating.

Another option ... double up your recipe ingredients, and then freeze the excess casserole to enjoy at a later time.

Mix up another complete chicken casserole recipe, and leave out the chicken bouillon and salt. Now add to the first recipe and put in two casserole dishes. Freeze one casserole and enjoy the other. I have done this with another dish, and it solved the problem, and saved the day!

The potato trick really works I made a big pot of veg soup the other day ago and the lid on salt shaker fell in along with contents. Well at the price off beef there was no way I was throwing it away. Thank goodness I remembered some one here had asked this same question a long while back and I got out my tablet of QB's Household Hints and found the answer. By the way the soup was delicious and I only got one bowl for my lunch the next day out of a 5 gallon pot.

That's worked for me. Doesn't take out a lot, but it helps.
