I'm listening to a Boston radio station and so far 170,000 without power. The storm is only around NJ and hasn't hit land yet. I used to live in NH but now I'm in Ohio and we are getting high winds tonight into tomorrow.

I'm just south of boston and i have seen much worse but none the less the winds did manage to take down a 25ft pear tree and three sections of the neighbors fence with it.....

we lost our power from 8-midnite last nite. that is sooooo normal in our area. we have huge trees, so any wind knocks us out for a while. so glad it wasn't a long time. generator on stand by. have meant to get it wired right into the house.

So far, here in Central VA we have had very little harsh wind, etc. It rained pretty steady but never really a downpour. I live about 60 miles SW of Richmond VA. The power didn't go out here and very few places in our immidiate area lost power. GOD is good. I was prepared for the worst as it has been a lot worse before. My prayers go out to all the folks North and West of me. Take care everyone!!!

We are about 30 minutes north of Baltimore right on the Chesapeake Bay (Aberdeen Proving Ground) and we were expecting the worst but were extremely lucky! The power never went out and none of the big trees on our property came down. We had a small leak in our family room but nothing that could not be contained. My heart goes out to everyone in NYC and surrounding areas!

You were lucky. I heard that Garrett County had 2 feet of snow.
