I am sort of. It's either laugh or cry. I would rather. Laugh than cry and get a headache. It is absurdly funny how I broke the window. If it wasn't for how much it is going to cost.

You don't have to replace that whole window. Call a glazer and they will just replace the one pane. It looks like a single pane window. Really. Call one. I wouldn't think it would cost more than $150 to get it done.

I agree you can just replace that one piece. We have those types of windows and when I husband hit it with the ladder we had it replaced and I think they charged us 75.00. Call around to the glass companies or check with your local hardware store.

Kas is right. A glazier would fix that in no time.
He'll cut the glass to size and whack it in with the outdoor putty. I'd send our builder round but it's a bit far. Relax - rearrange the furniture so the chair won't do it again - do yourself some tea and biccies and think of those quilts you don't have to sell.

Is your DH handy or do you have a DH? If not maybe you could borrow a hubby from a neighbor and offer to trade for the quilt like someone else suggested. Heck for that kind of $$ I would go buy a piece of glass and fix it myself!! I am sure it would be an easy fix...my brother was a glasier for years. Sorry you had this happen to you...crafty_linda_b

I wish I wish like a fish that hubby was handy. He is good with electronics and that is it. His dad is wonderful at hands on stuff but he lives in California. My neighbor is a window guy and I am going to see if he has a solution or can cut me a deal for a new one.

yes, call someone to fix the 1 pane! If hubs is handy and its not a double glazed window have him do it himself - not very hard. sharet

But how do you price a quilt. length times width and times so many cents? Price of material times two? I am very interested in a way to price any quilt one would make and it be reasonable to both sides. Price a way it will work every time. People ask me all the time how much would I take for that quilt. I don't have any idea.

That single pane can be replaced and you can probably do it yourself and save a lot of money. I've done it and it's not difficult. Here's a link to one how-to site,
