I just won a giveaway from Arrow Sewing Cabinets and I get to pick either a Chair-y or a Gidget II.

I'm leaning towards the table but would like opinions. Does anyone have a Gidget II? If so, what is your opinion of it? The chair looks really neat, but since I'm on hardwood floors and it has wheels, I'd be afraid of having to fight it to stay still.

i don't know the items you mentioned (congrats btw) but i have a nice sewing chair on wheels on a hardwood floor, the only problem is getting in and out because i have the seat pretty high and i'm short but mostly it makes things easier than a chair without wheels

congratz! I'd personally go with the gidget II. Only because I love the chair I have already :)

lol, I actually need both! I'm using a folding metal chair and a plastic folding table that vibrates like crazy when I sew...

Take the table, I would think all the vibrations from an unsteady table would not be good for your sewing machines.
btw, Congratulations!!!

Congratulations! I've never won anything and to win something that one actually needs is awesome. I looked at both items. Hard choice! I might be more inclined to take the table only because chairs are very personal. I would want try a chair before I committed to it.

I have used a chair with casters on hardwood floors and actually I put one of those office chair mats underneath to protect the floor and help the chair to move even better. You can buy the mats specifically for hardwood. I really like having a chair on wheels, personally. I didn't have any problem with the chair moving around whilst sewing.
