So kind of you to post this. Even though I like the 'look' of our new site, my eyes are not too happy. Will see if DH can help me.

I think it would far more feasible for the people doing the board to change the color than for everyone else to change thier computer settings. Of course, that's just my opinion. I don't want to have to fiddle with the color of all my pages every time I come on. THis color hurts my eyes, so I won't be spending as much time on here as before. I think if enough people have this problem, then the person in charge of maintaining the board just MIGHT want to rethink this background color. Our time is better spent quilting, sewing, etc....not adjusting our computers.

Thanks, it seems like everyone is willing to help us all get through this new format with our sanity intact.

We should be able to change the brightness on our OWN monitors. through the Menu button on the monitor itself. this should help until the Moderators do something about the colors in here.

I *think* that yesterday, when I customized the My Profile page and changed the font to medium, that today somehow the board implemented that change on the posts. At least, the font seems a lot bigger and darker to me today than it did yesterday. If it did implement font, it did not implement the background color for the posts (but may have implemented the color I choose as the sidebars to the posting page).

sigh..... Guess it will just take some time and experimentation to get everything right for me.....
If you double click on say - yellow - it will then allow you to Define Custom Colors. You can then move the little cross hairs to anywhere on the rainbow you want to get whatever color. Or, once the Custom Colors boxes open up, just type the nubmers I posted.

Once you have it the color you want, click ADD TO CUSTOM COLORS, then click on the new box, and OK.

One thing I discovered after making these changes. For whatever weird reason, I lost the RECENT TOPICS button on the Home Page, which is really weird since it is blue!
