I'm in this month! I had been in the past but life sure got in the way. December has been a rough month for us as well. Hubby took out a deer in the car, $1800 in damage. Little ones got a virus and it made 2 rounds through all of the little ones ages 4,2 and 1. A week later another virus...this one more than just fever. Quite ugly, again 2 rounds through the boys and this one got DH and myself. Just as we are getting better my dad has a stroke. Hopefully that is enough drama and January will show us a little love by being drama free.

No matter what the drama, I have to show myself some love and get on track and get this weight off. So here I am! Count me in and I will get a FQ in the mail on Wednesday when DH gets an off day.

As soon as I can get to some scales I will be posting my weight on here. As unhappy as I am and totally embarrassed by it.... it will hold me accountable and give me more incentive to change it!

So what plans do you have for this holiday weekend? I am hanging out at home and plan to get some binding done and put together several panel quilts.

I will probably be asleep when the new year rings in. Never know that could change. Just playing it by ear.

I have a purple quilt I need to get started on, need to have finished by April.

Looking forward to a healthy and happy new year. I am so ready to get back to work.

Welcome back to all our returnees, both recent and former. A special welcome to newbies, Short an Sweet and MrsH2008.

I did cut my hair once to met a WW goal that had been set very low. Also wore a light sundress with only bikini panties under it. I was serious. After I proved I could do it, I had the goal reset to something reasonable.

I have given up my blood pressure meds and my heart meds totally. Woohoo!

New Year's Eve?? Do you really want to know? I'm going to dinner in Traverse City with my ex. I will home very early long before the partiers are on the road and I will be very much alone, thank you. It's a long story.

Til April, Cindy? I have another Spicy Spiral to have done by January 13th and a lap quilt for a Cystic Fibrosis silent auction by Valentine's Day. But I don't have to go work any more. Actually, I'm thinking a Spicy Spiral table runner for the auction, too. Any ideas on a color scheme? What color are people using in dining rooms these days? People who can afford $100 a plate dinner tickets? My LQS owner says blue/yellow. That's a hard one for me to visualize, but I can do anything. Not sure about black, but anything else.

I am losing weight and getting healthier.

It seems that a lot of people have dark red dining rooms so I think burgundy & cream might look good. Or maybe just earth tones that would go with any decor.

New Year's eve will be spent waiting for fireworks to quit so we can sleep, lol. It is just the 2 of us now & we both would rather sleep.

I have seen ladies take off jewelry to make goal at WW. I heard of one lady (?) who took off her jeans and yep, that helped.

I have started a new quilt, a simple I Spy that I am looking forward to playing with. After the rush of the holidays it is so nice to relax with an easy project.

Yes the purple quilt I need to have done by April, is actually for myself that I need for June. I am a member of the Order of Eastern Star and I will become the head person for the next year. there is an alter that the Bible rest on and the quilt will be used as my alter cloth. The pattern is from Stitchin' Heaven called Gumballs Quilt, in purple batiks.

I am so ready to get working on this quilt. After sewing on the binding and the cheater/panel quilts I am going to start working on that one.

My challenge right now with my quilting is my brother and SIL and their 3 large dogs are staying in my apartment and I am back in the guest room in mom's house. Like I was over a year ago. I can go over anytime I need to but it is not fun feeling misplaced. They will do whatever I need them to do. Pray they both get jobs soon.

That will be the prettiest altar cloth imaginable. I'm sorry about your living situation. I don't do well displaced or in disorder. That's why I am going batty now - my house has snuck out of control while I couldn't clean it. Your mom has a nice sewing room. Can you bring your machine over?

Three dogs is a lot, plus your little cutie. Does she like having company? My son brought his nearly 100 pound Labbie girl with him Wednesday. Mine are 55 pounds and 33 pounds so Lizzy is a lot bigger. When all three run and play in the house it gets interesting. Lily and Moira love it when Lizzy visits, thank goodness. I need to make mine a birthday cake. Lily will be 7 and Moira 5 on New Year's Day.

edit: I checked your pattern. It's very interesting. Not what I anticipated with the name Gumballs. The purple will be lovely.

Everyone have a safe New Year's Eve. We are losing weight and getting healthier.
